i rather go for the samsung's f8500 plasma coz its 2013 model then exciting yung mga features sa f8500 parang oled daw ang PQ.

atty sinubukan kong pansinin parang wala naman, but i think you need to bring your own testing material, I saw the ST50 in Ansons and the PQ was great. kung may vertical banding man yung unit na nakita ko, while watching the demo of Lorax hindi halata. but i have not seen an ST50 below 65" though...kaya its quite pricey at 200k me thinks.

SnS has the 60ST50 and the 65VT50 available. I hope they bring in the 51" variants of each model series.

If it's a 65 inch, pareho rin last year.

I saw a 65ST50 (P200K+) and a 60UT50 (P160K) sa Listening Shang last year. Naka-off nga lang yung 65ST50. Pero naka-on 60UT50, Captain America ang demo, I also did not notice vertical banding. Although the banding will probably be visible on the right video material.

42 and 50 are the best-selling sizes. I don't know why they insist on selling 60 and 65...

1-3 year plan naman yon so you have 2-4 years pa para makabili ng plasma - whatever is the latest by then. Then meron pang delay na 1 year ang Manila so it can extend to 3-5 years. They might as well stop with the 60 series and keep on selling that model for the next 3 to 4 years.

If Tokyo is awarded the 2020 Summer Olympics, I wonder what HDTV Panasonic will showcase then? Panasonic have always been a major sponsor of that huge event.

Sa akin, OK lang.

Maganda naman ang mga LED ngayon, not like the early LCD releases with terrible picture quality. At the same time, dumami naman ang issues ng mga bagong plasma.

So, ayos lang yan. Let's look forward to even better LEDs and consumer OLEDs in the future.

No, plasma pa rin ako sir. Ang sinasabi ko lang ay hindi na ako masyadong malulungkot pag nawala ang plasma.

Ang LED ko, pang cable TV and small media files lang. Pero ang plasma ko, pang BD and large media files.

Happy naman ako sa Sammy plasma.

Malaki pa rin ang pag-asa ng plasma sa Samsung. It's a company that wants to be everywhere, so it's likely that Sammy will not give up on plasma soon. With all the money Sammy has, supporting plasma is going to be easy for them to do.

Ninj, your VT30 is good for at least 5 years. Within that time frame, you should still be able to find the last great Panasonic Plasma, or, the greatest Samsung Plasma by then. Then we all switch to OLED or whatever is there on the following decade. LED wont be able to reach the picture characteristics of Plasma.

I think the real pick of Samsung's 2013 plasma tv lineup will be the F5000 series.

65 inch lang yata ang available sa ST50. So kung gusto mo ng latest available 42 Panny plasma, ayos yan.

Ano ulit nangyari sa interest mo sa VT30 last year? I have 2 relatives na hindi ko ma convince last year to also get the VT30 na dahil isip isip pa raw muna. They have been desperately looking for one since Feb. Oh well.

I would just wait for 2013 model Samsung or 2012 Panasonic if I were you.
