I'm not sure if these are locally available but I'm sure they are expensive.  ;D

Anyway, I haven't read the link yet but the schematic looks promising indeed.
 ;)

I'll try to find them for you.

both farnell and rs carries them i think. lot's of fake transistors on the local market now. original ones demand pretty steep prices but still cheaper than buying abroad.  ;)

unlike with tubes, solid state amps are more about topology. take the case of the leach amps, they work wonders with different kinds of transistors, i even used 2n3055/mj2955's in one unit i made.

good for you 2ny. my brother can also make that double sided pcb with solder mask and matching stencil but he makes them for mass production, no time to make just a few.  >:(

anyway, is there any major change (aside from the choice of transistors) from prof Leach latest version?

good luck!

i guess the leadwires for the to-3 trannies are gone, since the output trannies solders direct to the pcb, very neat change! i am using mjl1302a and mjl3281a output trannies.

btw, gerber files are available at jen's site. the boards are of 2oz copper, plated thru and is quite thicker than ordinary boards!

that's cool indeed, eliminating 12 wires per channel just for the opt trannies. i've checked the board recently and it seems that aside from the new and neat layout, there is no chage from the original ckt.

one cool layout change that Jen could have included is to position the LTP facing each other and then bonded together for thermal tracking, other than that the board is fantastic.

i have those gerbers a loooong time ago...  ;D
