You have to give it to Himedia with their software development team, Heto isang popular feature sa himedia but most people miss out.
  • Hold down the SET button on the Himedia remote until the red LED stays brightly lit.
  • Press the key on the Himedia remote that you want to program. The red LED should blink steadily.
  • Hold the original remote you want to learn from very close (1cm gap is perfect) and point it at the the IR sensor of the Himedia remote.
  • Press the button on the original remote that you want to learn. The Himedia remote red LED should stay on for a second then briefly blick fast.
  • Press SET on Himedia remote to exit learning mode.
  • Test the button you've programmed on the Himedia remote.

Ilang beses kana ba naghanap ng remote at yung himedia remote andjan pero yun remote ng TV di mo makita ? :)

Lost yours or broke yours? I got you covered,  Remember the tragedy of having a media player without button controls sa front panel and you know what its like to have an elephant in your TV room. Try that with other units. iyak ka maghanap ng remote.

Try to rename the subtitle same as the movie file name.

Yes

You have to pick a service for your subtitle and enable it I use opensubtitle.org

Then during playback of the movie while running on jarvis I hit the menu and move to subtitle and it will prompt to download . I'll do a short video step by step later when I get around it

OoT : My eldest sister is hearing and speech impaired kaya I got into media players .How I wish I can automate this for all folders

Those are raw device files pointing to your drive

You can't rename the device names , but the devices  mount to the android file system as a folder. Maybe you can rename the mounting point folder name ? Not sure yet

Subtitle downloading on playback
Click on menu and go to subtitle and click download

I use opensubtitles.org so you need to feed your login info after installing the service

Or If you want something up working fast. Use the Subscene addon.  After they require a login on to opensubtitles site , I just switch to subscene. So far everything is doing fine.

Sa kodi,
you can create under movies to include
Sda2/movies
Sda2/movie series
Sda2/animation

You just need to deduplicate sda2 with your say 16tb raid as I find common files in my master storage mediasonic vs my 6tb local drive

Also make sure you plug on the same port (so android mounts the device to that same sdxx device as it is in its update library) and also power on the device same way(I leave my 8 x 4-Tb + 16tb raid on the same ports on boot up ng q10 pro)

Note to self:
Will  unload my 2 x popcorn hour c200 and 1 Egreat s 900 with boron and dual os(dune and Egreat)

I used an app before on windows. that does auto scrapping and subtitles for all movies in a directory.

I forgot the name of the app. But I am just saying you do not need to do scrapping and subtitles download inside kodi.

As usual I forgot the name of the app.

It has  .deb package if your linux distribution support that package installer.

Or the source if you have the time and motivation.

used the subscene for the downloading service on kodi para wala ng username and password.  Is there a chance  himedia would incorporate a download subtitle option on its native player?

meron sir, try mo  but the search is not as good under kodi where it prompts you. it just picks up the filename kasi unless you are ready to rename using a bulkrenamer tool.

Sa Mede8er merong way na pagbukas mo ng movie database mo eh may thumbnail or pic yung movie tapos may synopsis and imdb rating pag click mo. Possible din ba to sa Himedia? Wow factor din kasi eh

Meron. I shifted from Mede8er to Himedia Q10 Pro. Sa Kodi then Video you just add the folder/location where your movies are located. You'll be able to select the movie/tv scraper. After that it will start to get the metadata for your movies. Sa home screen ng Kodi "Movies" will show up, pag nag click ka dun you can see the thumbnails and you can just configure the view settings to your liking.

Tried out different skin sa kodi and settled with Amber. Mas maganda pag display ng mga thumbnails niya.

At first nahirapan ako mag setup sa Himedia Q10 Pro kasi daming configurations unlike Mede8er na konti lang ang kakalikutin mo. Once you've set it up naman, you can just sit back and be amazed with it.
