Use the special TV buttons of your HIMEDIA Q5 Pro or Q10 Pro

Just like the Egreat compatible backlit remote controllers before , you can also program the TV buttons of your Himedia Q5 Pro and Q10 Pro.
STEPS
1. Hold down the SET button on the Himedia remote until the red LED stays brightly lit.
2. Press the key on the Himedia remote that you want to program (volume up / volume down / AV selector / Power). The red LED should blink steadily (awaiting infrared signal sequence from your TV remote)
3. Hold the original TV remote you want to learn from and press they key you wish himedia to mimic (1cm gap is perfect) and point it at the the IR sensor of the Himedia remote.
4.  The Himedia remote red LED should stay on for a second then briefly blink fast.
5. once done, Press SET on Himedia remote to exit learning mode.
6. Test the button you've programmed on the Himedia remote.

Did you know you could put wifi signal in any or all your rooms with a q5 pro or Q10 pro?

Install them and if you have a Lan cable in your Ht room or your living room simply  connect it via LAN, the turn your q5 pro/q10 pro  to a hotspot in the android settings  :)

Install Kodi Wrapper?

WRAPPER v1.0.1 IS PRE-INSTALLED ON FIRMWARE LATER THAN 1.0.5 SO NO NEED TO REINSTALL IT.

Slightly off topic

I bought Himedia H8 plus.  I experienced audio hicups when playing DTS thru media center.  What is the recommended APP for playing movies that will have no problem in all audio formats?

Did you flash your h8 to the latest firmware?  Himedia releases fw regularly

I already have the latest firmware but still there is hiccup in Dolby Digital / DTS audio pass through. Do you experience hiccups in Q5 0r Q10? If not I might upgrade H8 plus to Q series.

Or I should I request for another unit of H8 plus?

Sometimes using the in-menu "check for latest firmware" option does not actually mean that you have the latest firmware unless you check it yourself online. Some firmware updates cannot be done OTA. You need to manually download it yourself to your desktop computer and load it using a flash drive.

There is no audio for 1-2 sec sir. And this happens about every 5 mins or less.
I've tested mkv recent and old downloads (past 5 yrs) and all have audio issue with H8 plus

A.E. allowed me to replace H8+ bought from them a week ago with Q5 Pro (cost me additional P4k).  There was no audio passthrough issue with Q5 Plus and there's an improvement on PQ compared to H8+ (with Imprex Engine on). Next test would be UHD 4K HEVC/H.265 HDR movie.

Mga sir question lang po,

I have Q5 pro, and I have the media file worth about 60gb (Deepwater H), plays perfectly, 2016p 4k and atmos really nice. Pero, parang sobrang dark ng mga blacks na parang wala ng details, like yung tshirt and faces ng artista kapag nasa lilim at agaisnt the light.

Using LG 4k tv.

Thanks!

sir try mo muna i-play using the same movie with the internal media player of LG 4k tv

if the same, then try to tweak around with the TV's picture settings.. once it becomes good, then go try back with the HiMedia Q5 Pro..

if internal TV's media player displays it right, then it's the Hi-Media Pro Q5 that needs to be configured... is this thru Kodi you're experiencing?

Yes its through KODI.

Have not tried playing the 4k movies directly sa LG, will try later if kaya iplay, then will compare the difference.

Netflix 4k and Dolby Vision wala namang problem sa black. Was watching the whole Luke Cage season, laging gabi ang scene wala naman problem.
