1 year warranty. but I think that's okay. may local support naman from Acer Phils.

acer PJ user ako before and I still prefer DLP PJ over 3LCD... tingin ko makikita mo pa din ang rainbow effect lalo na sa black&white scenes, mga end credits etc, at lalo na pag hinahanap mo.  ;)

question lang guys. instant off ba ang cooling fan nito pag power off ng projector?
ganito kasi yung unit ko kahit ilang oras ng ginamit. gusto ko lang i confirm kung normal ba talaga ito. baka lang kasi ma busted agad ang lamp pag walang lamp cool down sequence. thanks.

sana nga bro pero i doubt pa rin kasi sabay ang off ng lamp at fan, wala man lang delay kahit ilang segundo.

Here from instructions, choose instant resume

Turning Off the Projector
1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears:
"Please press power button again to complete the shutdown process" Press the power button again.
2 The LED Power indicator will turn solid red to indicate standby mode.
3 It is now safe to unplug the power cord.

When Instant Resume is selected:
1 The LED Power indicator will turn RED and blink rapidly after the projector is turned off, and the fan(s) will continue to operate for about 2 minutes to ensure that the system cools properly.
2 As long as the power cord remains plugged in, you can press the power button to turn the projector immediately back on anytime during the 2-minute shutdown process.
3 Once the system has finished cooling, the LED Power indicator will stop blinking and turn solid red to indicate standby mode.
4 It is now safe to unplug the power cord.

Sa akin naka-instant resume as default. I like it better because it cools the lamp properly before turing it off.

Parang ganun nga na first time mo magka-PJ. In my case, this is my 2nd PJ. Coming from my old PJ, malaking difference. Pero when i compare my our PJ sa ibang higher specs brand, ang kinaganda ng higher specs is it has better control over the contrast and brightness vs color. Maski na hindi gaanong bright ang setting, may color and detail balance sila. Yun sa atin, kailangan itaas ang brightness para makita natin ang details, at the expense of masyadong maliwanag ang white natin, which affects the balance of colors. Palagay ko it has something to do with better panels ang higher specs.

But of course pwede na for it's price per performance. Especially when you compare it with PJs 2 years ago sa same price range. Tingin ko, may pagka-trickle down din ng technology kaya nag-mura siya.

hi guys,

sorry off topic. but baka someone else here has same concern. does anyone know where to get a 3x2 HDMI switch/splitter (3 input 2 output)? my AVR is not HDMI yet, so I directly input my video signals to the TV. Since acquiring this projector, and since I have several video/content sources (media player, xbox, blu ray player), I want the images to mirror sana with my TV and projector so I dont have to keep on removing and changing the HDMI.

Started to get this dilemma when I tried playing with my Xbox using the projector kse. Ang saya mag laro with a 120 inch screen! And my kid and I tried playing those Zombie games on 3D and it was a blast! Parang katabi mo talaga yun mga zombies!

anyway, hope someone can point me where I can get that HDMI switch!

Thanks! and keep on rocking with our Acer PJ!  >:D

Sorry OT:
saw this one in Ebay...
http://www.ebay.ph/itm/ViewHD-HDMI-Splitter-v1-3b-One-Input-to-Two-Output-1x2-in-mini-Metal-Case-NEW-/281177371728?pt=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item41777a3450&_uhb=1

since wala ako makita na multiple input and multiple output... maybe you can use a separate HDMI switcher sa Input side? not sure kung magkaproblema sa handshaking...

*if you are planning on upgrading your AVR, consider Yammy's Aventage Series, they have the convenience of multiple HDMI In and it has already Two HDMI Out.

i cant speak directly, un s akin ay BenQ w1070, malaki talaga difference ng PQ quality ng 1070 as compared to my previous PJ n 5360. As in WOW una kong nasabi. Since d naman magkalayo ang reviews ng 1070 s 6510, so i would think na mapa WOW k rin:). no regrets in my part nag upgrade ako.

semi-late review/post:

I recently lent my H6510BD for an AV presentation/ film showing at my nephew's 1st birthday last April 27. the sources were a dvd of Pixar's UP and a short PowerPoint presentation played through my laptop projected to the free 70x70 tripod screen. even though neither source were Full HD, both looked really good! the birthday party was at a condominium's clubhouse function room from 10am to 4pm. the projected image still looked good even with the ambient light present at the venue.  :D

thumbs up for the Acer H6510BD!  ;D ;D ;D
