I agree with one of the comments on the site...

"...Most, if not all, of these theaters are designed to be impressive for anything but watching movies. The best theater would have flat, dark walls/ceiling and an appropriately large screen, something surprisingly missing from most of the theaters shown. Throw in a decent surround sound system and a quality projector and that's all that is needed. Most of what is shown here is just interior decorating. Not that its a bad thing, its just not what a home theater experience should be in my opinion. Feel free to argue..."

My dream home theater is actually one that simply looks like a movie theater with a pop corn machine as well as a snack stand at the back.

i agree with your. All that stuff on the walls can get distract you form the movie.

Aside from possible glaring reflections from shiny objects, what you said is just a minor issue. The main problem is that the light from the screen bounces off the bright-colored surfaces. This makes its way back to the screen, thus "tinting" the picture.
