haha thanks for the insight sir the_works. that's the kind of rants i've been reading sa comments regarding this. though not familiar with superbit sa mga dvds they said na this was similar to the superbit releases. Kind of sucks for those who bought a copy of a movie only to find out later that there is a "superior" version around the corner. not to mention a more pricey one.

nothing new here...just another studio cashing in on a new thing.

Universal is doing the same thing with steelbook releases in June of popular titles like The Mummy, Scott Pilgrim, Scarface, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, etc. dubbed as "Limited Edition." Most of which will retail for around $13++...good for new collectors/steelbook enthusiasts. But no new transfers...
