im a lebron hater eversince he move to miami,  the first finals with Mavericks...
taas ng talon ko sa tuwa ng naglayup si dirk for the win...

madaming factors to hate him...
ayaw kong magchamp sila  kasi for sure once na magchamp hindi maghihiwalay ung mga un and possibly madominate ang east and NBA finals... which happened afterwards... buti naputol ung streak...

LBJ - 1,000 blah blah blah haters
Kobe - Less hater than LBJ - since he did not move from one team to another just to have a ring
Jordan - super less hater - siguro most of them are JAZZ fans haha...

for some reason, daming haters ni Lebron, not just here but also in the US ... must be his personality or decision to leave Cleveland early on ... previously there were anti-Bulls, anti-Lakers, but haven't heard much of Jordan or Kobe haters

It's the digital age, where social media rules ...... If Jordan were playing in today's NBA, I'm very sure he'd have his fair share of haters as well.

As for Lebron, IMO his only real fault was the way he handled "The Decision", with all the hype and the resulting TV coverage.

Lost in all the hoopla ......

1.) The fact that all the proceeds of "The Decision" was to benefit a local charity
2.) It was Lebron's legal right as a free-agent, to go to the team he wants to play for
3.) Lebron took less money to go to the team he wants to play for

The 3rd is a biggie for me ...... in this day and age of pro sports, everyone rants about athletes making undeserved millions. Lebron is one of a few athletes who actually deserve a salary beyond what the CBA defines.

Lebron took less money, exercised his right to play for a team he wants, does justice to the sport by playing the right way (makes himself and everyone around him better), wins championships, wins MVP awards, etc ...... yet he still is getting panned.

All the points you raised were legit. but still, the general populace see's it as him opting for the easy way out to get rings..

I agree, the general populace see it as going the easy route ...... however, building a loaded roster is far from being a guarantee for NBA championships.

Many, many teams throughout NBA history have overpaid beyond the salary-cap - yet only a very few had won championships.

Lebron revived the doormat CAVS franchise when he got there - made them contend and got them to a Finals stint ...... but it was clear as day that the CAVS organization didn't have the capability to surround Lebron with a cast capable of going all the way - so he left by exercising his legal free-agent rights, even taking less salary to do it.

People tend to forget the rights of others - yet will protest once their own rights are being withheld.  ;D

The way I see it,for the self proclaimed king to leave his 'kingdom' to chase a ring diminishes his legacy in a way.sure, quite a number if the greats did it.Malone,Payton, and Barkley come to mind.but like what newwaveboy already pointed out,it's the way he did it which got him a lot of flak.

And to think he did it in his prime (prime pa din naman nya right now),whereas the 3 I mentioned did so at the tail end of their careers.

Methinks he just lost respect in the eyes of a lot of people, which snowballed into hate.

Personally, The Decision was what made me hate his guts.but I hate Wade more now. ;D

Here's a good read on the demography of LBJ's fans and how "The Decision" affected his image.

if there was a team that flopped the best (worst?) hands down e Miami na yun.

Of all the actors on that team,si Wade ang best.or worst, however you want to look at it ;D

Old school pa din kasi ako bro to a fault,no blood no foul.kaya as much as I hated those 90's Heat teams, for whatever it's worth e I respected them, kasi they played tough and physical, but fair to an extent.

I'm ranting na,I know ;D

Not really. They won NBA best record. Twice.

Not really. They won NBA best record. Twice.

..... Hence, I said "going all the way" - meaning winning an NBA championship.

Like I said, the CAVS organization cannot and/or did not attract the right free-agents to surround Lebron, to seriously contend and win a championship ...... Cleveland also has the inherent disadvantage of being an unattractive destination for marquee free-agents.

You don't think so, what bro?

I myself am not the biggest fan of Lebron ....... it's just that aside from The Decision, I don't see anything else to hate about Lebron.

para sa akin... its all about 'the decision'... and him calling himself 'the king'... and defeating the bulls... nothing more... other than that... i consider him next to jordan...

I remember reading Lebron is the "only" reigning MVP to jump ship from his current team. Maybe Lebron's image wouldn't have taken such a beating. Because with the way the East is built now, I really believe the Cavs would have been perennial Eastern Champs maybe starting in 2011 or3012 because they annually had the best record then.
