hindi ko naman sinisisi si Mamba, pero sana naisip din niya ung Lakers for the future, max contract ka nga kaso yung team mo naman nahihirapan mag-rebuild. e pano pag wala si Kobe..yung management din ang may kasalanan talaga, kasi binibigay lahat nila kay Mamba lahat. sympre si Mamba tanggap lang ng tanggap, parang bola lang yan e, parati si Mamba lang ang tumatanggap.
Again, market nga ang nagsasabi ng value nya. alangan naman di siya bibigyan ng max contract eh yung ibang teams na gustong kunin si Kobe max contract inooffer. And it's not the player's job to be the ward of the team's future. Trabaho yan ng GM, hindi ng player. Dapat pala si Jordan di na tumanggap ng 30million nung last few years nya sa Bulls para naman magkachance na magrebuild din *this is your line of thinking*.
Market value ni Kobe yun. Kung tingin ng Lakers di sila magbebenefit dun, eh di nagpass na sana sila. Pero this is a business first before being a basketball team. win-win yun for them na kunin si Kobe at max. Kobe draws in the fans, value for talent, etc etc.
Not insinuating that at all. Hahahaha! Kobe is good but has not really revolutionized the game. He is better than Carter of course. If one thing...Kobe is the most durable player of all time still playing at a high level in his 17th season. But years after he retires, I don't know if he will be remembered as somesone who has put his personal stamp on the game. I don't know if he can shake the impression that he is a poor man's Jordan. And in that list, Kobe is the one with only 1 MVP.
Indeed, poor man's Jordan nga. Everyone was searching for the next MJ after he left but there will never be another one like Mike. If everyone in the same frame as Jordan is compared to him, they'll all be second-best.
I'd say he would've had won one more MVP (supposedly his first **this was in '06 when he posted crazy stats in points) when the media gave it to Nash (I guess because of team record + no Amare).
I guess Kobe will only be remembered for his crazy 81-point game after a few decades. Definitely not as remarkable as Jordan's accomplishments when it comes to individual accolades. But to say na generic type siya, medjo undermined naman na masiyado yung talent nya nun.
Generic would be - Derozan, OJ Mayo (ok pandak siya for an SG), Vince Carter, T-Mac (although 6'8" siya), Jason Richardson and the likes. haha
