para sa akin... its all about 'the decision'... and him calling himself 'the king'... and defeating the bulls... nothing more... other than that... i consider him next to jordan...

next jordan.. e lebron haters ka.. at mas more KObe Haters ka...

huwag mag-balat kayo... walang next jordan period

my side:
JOrdan is Jordan... KObe is Kobe.. that's all.. who's next???   para sa akin palagay e wala pa mag next dalawang nabanggit ko... sa husay nang mga moves at fade away jump nila :) ... well mas maganda lang talaga tignan fade away ni Kobe... lalo't napunta pa sya sa Lakers team namin.

Lebron is different animal... halimaw talaga.. gusto ko rin sya as halimaw mode.. hindi ko lang gusto foot work ni LBJ6 lalo na yong flop nya as consider as halimaw in this day in basketball sport.

back to Dpogs ulit... mukhang nag lebroning like ka dyan.. para kasing flop yong post mo about lebron bwahahaha... bandhaters hehehe

..... Hence, I said "going all the way" - meaning winning an NBA championship.

Like I said, the CAVS organization cannot and/or did not attract the right free-agents to surround Lebron, to seriously contend and win a championship ...... Cleveland also has the inherent disadvantage of being an unattractive destination for marquee free-agents.

It's not an organization's fault if a team isn't able to adjust during the playoffs. Maiintindihan ko kung 9th seed sila.

Quote
1.) The fact that all the proceeds of "The Decision" was to benefit a local charity

I hope you're not saying LBJ did the Decision for charity :)

It's like embarrassing your family on national TV and giving them the proceeds. And its not like LBJ sacrificed anything.

Quote
2.) It was Lebron's legal right as a free-agent, to go to the team he wants to play for

Yeah, it's legal. But, he could have at least given his old team/hometown a chance for a Plan B. Hindi e, last minute. Kulang na nga lang lumuhod yung team/fans sa kanya.

Quote
3.) Lebron took less money to go to the team he wants to play for

Lebron can take a vet's minimum and still be rich because of his endorsements.

Of course, The Decision was all about where he'll play next ..... everyone and his mother knows this.

The fact that he gave the proceeds to charity should be noted though.

Yeah, it's legal. But, he could have at least given his old team/hometown a chance for a Plan B. Hindi e, last minute. Kulang na nga lang lumuhod yung team/fans sa kanya.

IIRC, the most notable and recent item for the CAVS Plan B was hiring Byron Scott as head-coach ....... doesn't sound too enticing when compared with Wade, Bosh & Riley overseeing everything.

Lebron can take a vet's minimum and still be rich because of his endorsements.

Indeed, every uber-prime star athlete can take the vets minimum and still get rich off endorsements ....... but for the love of Jebus, I cant recall anyone fitting this description.

You don't think so, what bro?

I myself am not the biggest fan of Lebron ....... it's just that aside from The Decision, I don't see anything else to hate about Lebron.

i mean the digital age having to do with hatred for Lebron - it's his personality and the decision he made in Cleveland i think

The brashness and hype of The Decision definitely ticked off many, including myself ...... it could have been done in a more discreet way. Lebron himself acknowledged that the event was a mistake.

My handle/username pretty much indicates my age level bro ...... I grew up in a far simpler time where social media was non-existent.

IMO today's social media is both boon and bane - it can spread information really fast but stoke emotions and spread it just as fast.

Like I said, I truly believe that should Michael Jordan be playing in today's social media age, he'll have his fair share of hatred as well ....... as will most anyone who stands out among his/her peers.

Just a decade ago, Kobe had just as many haters and detractors. Some of the (valid) points of criticism were his egotistical sense of entitlement, selfish play, and the fact that he was trying so very hard to be Michael Jordan.

It's Bron's turn now.

Wonder who's next.

The Decision actually generated a total revenue of $6 million.  Only $2.5M went to charity.  So meron pa rin kumita ng $3.5M bro.   :D

Still, that's still $2.5M more than most people give out ....... thanks for the info bro.

Didn't realize that a 10-minute sports interview generated that much dough.

Hehe, naging why i hate lebron discussion itong thread for a while ah hahaha.  Well everything i read made sense, including potential jordan haters and kobe haters.  I think its a combination of that brash attitude that lebron has, the way he flops but buldozes through everyone on the next play and doesnt get moved, the self proclamation of being king and that because of his arrival miami will win not 1, not 2, not 3...the list goes on and on.  The guy aint humble, i vividly remember how he accepted his bill russel award saying im lebron james blah blah blah, with a body language sending a message that was this championship ever in doubt? So now he got humbled...serves him right.

Plus when he lost the championship from dallas, he said, I am lebron james, At the end of the day I still have a better life than you do.

What I like about Lebron? his shoes. Nike makes the best shoes for Lebron.

Fully agree, sir.

Sample ng MJ discussion from a 1998 google newsgroup thread - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.sport.basketball.pro/KbpT5rKxFlo

I believe that these comments were made around the time MJ won ring #6 VS the Jazz.

Quote from: 1998
Once again Pippen is the real MVP of the game.  He quietly sinked big shot
after big shot in the most of fourth quarter, when Jordan is once again
hitting bricks after bricks.  15-35 is not my idea of "greatness."

True he managed to hit 2 shots at the end to win the game.  But without
Pippen's big shots to tie the game, Jordan will be useless.

Pippen, real MVP.

Quote from: 1998
People can talk all they want about Jordan being a ball hog with a
bad shooting %, but he can do things in the clutch that few players
can.  And please stop comparing him to players like Bill Russell.  If you
want to compare him with anybody, make it a guard like Oscar.  He's
the only one in the history of basketball that can compare to Jordan.

I agree.  The only player in basketball history who hogged the
ball anywhere near as much as jordon is Brazilian Olympic star Oscar
Schmidt.  Oscar Schmidt, however, had a reason to hog the ball, much
like Mitch Richmond at Golden St.  These guys are/were the *only*
offensive option for their respective teams.  jordon hogs the ball
because he is a wretched, selfish player who cares about nothnig but
personal stats.

These comments sound awfully familiar ;D

Decision part II? :) I guess miami heat tv ratings will plummet soon...or is it a TD or KG type of move to restructure his current contract for Miami to afford a Melo and make it a big 4?

Lets see...

Lakers can easily sign Lebron if money is the only issue.  Then Lebron can try to win at least 49 games basically by himself in the ultra competitive west and wish that's enough to at least get the 8th seed.  Then hopefully move on to the second round. ;D  Tempting indeed.

Quote
The Lakers are trying to clear about $33 million, enough to bring in James and Anthony at $16.5 million annually to team them with Kobe Bryant. Many criticized Bryant for not taking less money when he signed a two-year, $48 million contract

I don't think either one would accept $16.5M annually.  Then you have Kobe at $24M and because of injuries and age, would contribute the least while getting paid the most.  The difference with the Heat.... Wade the franchise player at that time like Kobe for the Lakers, was the one that sacrificed the most financially and was paid the least among Miami's big 3.
