For one reviewer:
Mas gusto nya ang A80J kaysa sa A90J (yes, for him, A80J > A90J)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnSImN0kKRs

Main reason:
-A80J has metal housing
vs
-A90J which has cheap plastic raw

Hmm interesting.........

maybe because a90j already has metal heatsink inside. if metal housing pa maging heavy na sya lalo.

It appears that I was about a month late in looking for a new TV. The 2020 LG OLEDs (CX models) were apparently on sale a few weeks ago, because LG was about to launch the 2021 C1 models. I want to get the 55CX sana (it went as low as 64K in Carousell and FB sellers), but I've so far been unable to find any more stocks. Drat.

Should I consider the 55A1?

A80J - need to hire a calibrator
A90J - i think no need to hire a calibrator becoz as i understand when its master series it means its factory calibrated already to master's standard.

an AVR would be good in protecting any kind of tv but it is not mandatory ... it is highly recommended for any expensive equipment

Update - the 2021 LG OLED models (at least the 55" versions) are on markdown in Abenson's. Price is down to 75K, with free bracket, free installation (but can be haggled pa if cash/straight charge). It was at 84K when I first inquired 2 weeks ago.

May 1 unit pa ang Abenson's Glorietta 1 ng 55 CX (2020 model).

Nice tip Boss...kay suking Carousel seller [email protected] kung mahaggle to that...napaka bang for the bucks na.....heck I got mine last year the CX series at a much higher price pa...OLED is really getting competitive na sa pricing...at least ang LG...sina Sony un reachable pa rin to most ang LG sourced OLED panel nila...and it's damaging their sales..LG is winning the race...by next year mag join na din si Samsung...Q OLED...lol..and it will be a challenge for Samsung din to match the LG aggressive pricing..at the end of the Day it is us Consumers ang winner.

Abenson offer to me for the 55" wasn't too far off from the CRS price. FYI.

Actually wala ko masyadong ginagawa kahapon and nakatuwaan ko check prices ng OLED particularly LG to other stores within our Region and even as far as UK...and wow. we have the lowest pricong...as in ang laki ng deperensya...kaya I salute whoever is the Sales manager ng LG Phil...galing...panalo. Kaya pala sina Sony not tlaga makasunod sa pricing kase even them ang baba na ng pricing nila.

Kagagaling ko lang sa SM Appliance Center Rockwell Makati kanina

I got to check the Sony Bravia OLED A9G (55 inch)
Holy crap ang laki ng baba

So current official SRP ni Sony is 99,999 PHP
Pero ang laki ng binibigay na discount ni SM
PHP 83,500

If you pay cash, you get additional 3,500 peso discount.

PHP 80,000

Oh wow

Pero yeah,
I think ginagawa ni Sony PH 'to para mabawasan ang excess inventory ni A9G.....to prepare for the launch ni A80J later this year

That would really be tempting for those avid Sony brand Fan...buy if you will thoroughly analyse every bits of it, still quite pricey compared to the OLED mainstream...to better give a picture that 55 OLED A9G is a 2019 model using a 2019 Oled from LG..2years later the equivalent category of LGC1 is much even cheaper than that...62K..so newer. tech would be a much much better buy Even a 2yo Masterclass series processor might be inferior now to the current processors line up..   Well that's my personal take..But as I said earlier for people who really are rooting nfor Sony OLED yep that's a hefty bargain compared 2years ago.

The only knock really for the LG would be that it's not Japanese and not on Android.  Other than that it is tough to choose other OLED brands just because the pricing now is sooo aggressive.  I don't even think TCL will push through with their OLED's here since they probably would not be able to compete with the LG's.  If TCL or Skyworth were to bring OLED's here and just be a couple thou lower than LG, then there really is no point.

I wish Panasonic Philippines would also be as aggressive with their pricing.

They can't as well as they also sourced  I believe from LG ...The onlly Japanese in Sony and Pana is their company Origin.   Korean brand have come a long way in terms of reliability and design.

I agree, the only reason I'm considering Sony is the Google TV ... I would be able to retire my Roku and Chromecast Ultra if I get the Sony ... if I get LG, I still need to keep those devices

mas maganda pa din yung mga android devices (google tv, nvidia shield) kesa sa built in ng Sony. I bought a sony x70 and ended up not using the built in android since ang pangit ng image quality tapos mabagal. Ang layo sa chromecast with google tv.
