Been looking at OLED panels, too, but at the price range these days, it may have to wait.

It's interesting Panasonic still pursued the OLED technology despite their less than stellar earnings in TV category in recent years. But that is good because the competition with LG would bring out better features and eventually better prices for consumers.

Panasonic, as far as I am concerned, is synonymous with durability, having personally owned Panasonic products which lasted many years.

I just checked Abenson's website. its prices for LG's OLED tv's are lower across the range. pretty close to Sights & Sounds' pricing!

I wonder when the 55EG910 will hit the 50-60k mark.

sir, have you compared it to a 4k LED tv? para kasing mas tempting bilhin ito over the new 4k LED tv's ... ganda ng quality and physical aesthetic ng OLED tv, not sure though if the 4k's offer a distinct advantage on picture quality

OLED tv's, even just the 1080P LG 55EG910, really win in terms of PQ due to perfect blacks and colors. 4K tv's do have the advantage in terms of pixel density and detail. but if you don't have any 4K material, it won't really matter. as for me, I'd choose perfect blacks over pixel density.

If same size I'd choose OLED 1080p instead of 4K LCDs.
As what DTNS hve said, the blacks and contrast is to die for

I'm still using the same Samsung model, and very impressed with it watching HD channels ... if OLED is much better, I think that it's worth upgrading to that even if it's only 1080p

Kanina wife was watching HBO HD - Little Sisters. Yung last part na naka black dress si Winona Ryder, sabi ni misis, "Black na black yung suot nya ha... Saka parang nakasilip lang ako sa window kapag nature scenes"

Hindi na lang ako nagsalita.

Only con na medyo napapansin ko with this model is sa medyo fast scenes, parang may judder saka yung mild soap opera effect. But probably I just need to adjust some settings. Di ko pa kasi masyado nakakalikot and picture settings.

Went for the 55EG910T. Very impressed with excellent picture quality, intense black levels and great motion rate. I'm just using out of the box default settings currently.

Anyone with recommended settings for this TV? Thanks.
