there's a seller here that's offering the 65C6 for 139k.  :o
Not to put down the C6 but you have to consider this.

1) LG's flagship G6 OLED TV does not have a curved version.

As explained here https://youtu.be/EsXDz-TcPc0?t=7m30s

2) 4K blu-ray does not have a spec for 3D.

Is anyone with a 2016 LG TV (webOS 3.0) able to check the resolution of the Netflix stream?

Whenever I click on the "info" button on the LG remote control before the resolution of the stream would be displayed on the upper left corner of the screen.

Now, using Netflix app (version 1.4.21)  and Software version 04.30.65 for LG B6 TV it does not show it anymore.

With the above mention Netflix and TV software it will only "options" that covers "exit", "audio & subtitles" and "play from the beginning".

Amazon Prime Video is now available on the LG Content Store for the Philippines. Just search for the app

Updated 14/12/2016 for version 1.0.3

Content like Z: The Beginning of Everything that used to be gelocked are now playable now.

TBH I would have ordered my OLED TV today.

I expect them to charge more than LG but considering the software is Android and it is Sony's post processing software & hardware then it might merit the premium.

I am open to buying a replacement by the time Trump steps down from office.

I base my statement on the longest average TV replacement cycle being done now.

I would upgrade for the following reasons

* Technology is superseded by 8K
* Power consumption will be less than half
* Cost of new TV is a fraction of the cost
* Better than OLED technology will be popular.

These are very good reasons to upgrade.

I only bought the OLED because of available 4K content from downloads, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video & 4K blu-ray.

If none of that were available I wouldnt have bought a TV and just stuck to the 27" computer screen.

Really weird, Amazon Prime Video app gets updated everyday.

It is now on version 1.0.7.

I hope they fix the the 4K resolution problem. I either get HDR or HD only.

LG Display Merges Business Divisions to Focus on OLED
http://www.businesskorea.co.kr/english/news/ict/16766-focusing-oled-lg-display-merges-business-divisions-focus-oled
SEOUL,KOREA
15 December 2016 - 2:00pm
Cho Jin-young

LG Display has made the movement to turn into a company specialized in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), which is considered a next-generation growth engine, by carrying out intense reorganization of the merger of its business divisions. Keeping pace with the rapid growth of the OLED market, the company plans to improve the efficiency and synergy effect by merging and restructuring the existing distributed business structure by product.

According to industry sources on December 14, LG Display carried out its regular personnel reshuffling for next year on the 1st and completed its reorganization on the 12th. With the latest reshuffle, the company merged the existing five business divisions – TV, OLED, IT, mobile and AD – into three – TV, IT and mobile. Vice President Hwang Yong-gi will lead the TV business division, while Vice President Choi Hyung-seok and Vice President Jeong Kyong-deuk will head the mobile business division and the IT divisions, respectively.

This year’s reshuffle is based on to bolster the OLED business, the key part of future growth, and to reorganize the divisions by product. First, the TV business division has decided to accelerate the OLED panel business by merging the existing liquid crystal display (LCD) TV business and OLED TV business, which was managed by the OLED business division.

The mobile business division will also shift its focus from the existing LCD panels to plastic OLEDs (P-OLEDs) after acquiring the next-generation business from the OLED business division. LG Display invested 1 trillion won (US$856.16 million) last year to expand the business of P-OLED panels which are used in smartphones, and is now establishing the E5 line in the Gumi plant. The E5 line is expected to be operated at the first half of next year and it will manufacture OLED panels for Apple’s next-generation iPhones. The company also decided to make 2 trillion won (US$1.71 billion) investment in July, and it is currently setting up the new E6 line, which produces P-OLEDs, at the Paju plant in Gyeonggi Province. Accordingly, the mobile business division now manages the development and production of P-OLEDs.

The IT business division will keep focusing on mainly the LCD monitor and laptop businesses as before but it has acquired partial businesses of the advanced display business division, which used to be fully responsible for Apple. In addition, LG Display merged the OLED lighting business division, which was acquired from LG Chem, to the TV business division, the automotive display business division to the mobile business division and industrial display business division to the IT business division.

Ok, after thinking this over for a few days, I finally went for LG 55 B6. Torn between UH8500 and this, but after seeing both side by side, OLED talaga. Gave up on 3D, anyway the old TV is still with us, we can always go to my daughter's room to watch 3D movies. It's good also that you can set up the digibox to work with LGs magic remote.

Would you guys share your picture settings?

Thanks

Thanks. Haven't played around the new tv yet, dami parties to attend though I tried both RTING's and CNET's setting for this model. Re RTINGs, I find it weird since the contrast setting is at max. Tried CNET's Expert Dark and Expert Bright settings, I would say I like it better, but I have to adjust OLED light higher than what was recommended since I find it too dark. Hopefully,  I can appreciate the tv more during the long holiday.

For UH8500, 65" price quoted is 73k, and for 55" 55k, both cash basis

O nga, went for it na. Baka mawala pa pag pasok ng 2017 models. So far no regrets. Pag may time I'll try Netflix movie marathon, need to research nga lang which contents are worth watching in 4K OLED

thanks!  hoping these items will be more cheaper in the coming months...

both RTING's and CNET's settings are good references.  just tweak them afterwards according to your taste.  best as well to test/watch full movies/tv series with it, then change settings accordingly until you have adjusted with it.  I'm sure there's a WOW factor already =))

My sister is letting me use her UH7700 while her house is still under construction. Im also getting one  but the the B6 is also reasonably priced so Im thinking of getting it instead of the UH7700. Im not sure lang since the B6 is the entry level of the OLED. I still have 2 months to use the UH7700 and hopefully the prices of the B6 will go down further. Hopefully its bang for buck same as the UH77.

Not exactly.

I look at the B6 as surpassing any display that is not OLED.

It may have some flaws but these are so minor if you tend to buy TVs every 10 years or so.

Going for a E6 or G6 or C6 would introduce curved screens that is waning in popularity and 3D technology that does not apply to 4K blu ray.

If you want better post processing wait for Sony's OLED offering. :)

LG has a 75-inch LED that should be under 100k. I'd get that if I wanted size. It would outperform any TV I bought in 2006.

55 is my max size for now and I dont want to over invest again for TV. 40-80 would be good for me so my only option would be the UH7700 and the B6 OLED. I was looking at the site for the B6, is it really true that it has only 2 hdmi input? If that is the case then its out of my option.

Levi, go for B6 you won't regret it. I even upgraded my Netflix to 550 subscription for UHD streaming

I got mine at Ansons Ortigas for 80,800 with full motion wall mount.
