Aaaaargh! 3k difference. Sometimes you won't know when is the best time to buy. Does it come with full motion mount?

Once you get your OLED cut your cable subscription and switch to Netflix and Amazon.

If you stick to local cable then stick to LED TV na lang. ;)

I can't, there's no Nat Geo, History and HGTV on Netflix and Amazon. Napalaki nga gastos ko since I upgraded my Netflix to UHD streaming. Amazon Prime, I plan to cancel after 6 months. I like Google Play, redeemed promo to watch Jason Bourne for P20, not bad

thanks, sir..

it's equally important to know how long the TV is shipped and stocked aside from seeing the TV box as factory sealed (un-used).  also it's good to know it's not from China (may hugot hehehe)...

I had my 1st LG LCD TV in 2007 and made in S. Korea less than 2 months manufactured before I bought it.  2nd is LG LED TV in late 2012, made in Vietnam.  It's on the same (maybe just weeks) month when I bought it.  It's really good to know that LG's are selling really fast =))

I got mine at Ansons Ortigas for 80,800 with full motion wall mount.

4 hdmi input yung B6? Im getting one by jan or feb. I upgraded my netflix even if borrowed lang 4K TV ko hehe. My little kids are watching netflix everyday ayaw na yung skycable.

Gel ikaw ba ito?

Yup, Levi, Gel 'to.

4 HDMI inputs, 2 at the back, 2 on the side. I was actually looking lang for 8500, then when I saw them side by side, iba talaga black level ng OLED. The colors really popped up. You'll also see details during dark scenes that you wouldn't notice on LED LCDs. The sound coming from B6 is also better compared to ordinary TVs, though I still bought a JBL entry level sound bar, sale eh, hehe

You made me nervous, I thought there are known issues on certain batch manufactured in a certain country.

I actually looked at the manufacturing date when you asked, normally I don't really care. When it was tested, the guy from LG showed me that the operating hour is at zero.

well, actually that's true +1M times haha  like we can never do anything with premium US/EU brands but were contracted to be made in China  ^-^

Since 2001 I've been downloading documentaries because they have better image quality than what is broadcasted on cable.

It was only this month where in I retired my NAS. Might resurrect it again so I can watch 2160p movies and 1080p TV shows again.

But then again, so much content on Amazon and Netflix that I would be hard pressed to find more than 1 hour a day to watch all of them.

not sure if true.  though the LG representative says it depends on the batch arrivals.

they still have 2 units of 55 B6P at their store.  I asked him to check the manufacturing date and country where they were made.  he checked and said, 1 unit from S. Korea while the other is from Vietnam.  though the manufacturing date is in the sticker at the back of TV.  none outside the box.

I told him to reserve me the S. Korean made one =))  Reserve lang, I'm still not sure if and when to get it, though  >:D

2017 OLED W7 TV is 2.57mm thin. Press release and LG's Product Site

To give you an idea how thick this TV is look for a 10 centavo coin and and multiply the thickness of 1.72mm (not diameter) by 1.5x. The TV's speaker and logic board are separated to a soundbar via proprietary cable.

In theory if LG were to be magnanimous they would allow you to upgrade the soundbar whenever there is new technology.

But the magnetic brackets makes the TV 3.85mm thick though. :-| That's a sliver less than two 5 peso coin (each 2mm thick) stacked on top of each other.

Looking forward to buying a TV like this by 2024.

I wonder when borders on TVs will become less than 7mm like the KS8000. Baka by 2024? :)

Also, no 3D or curved OLED for 2017. :)

My B6 is future-proof. :)

Sony Expands its 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range) TV Line-up with new A-series OLED and X-series LED TVs, offering a wider selection of premium TVs with superior picture quality

LAS VEGAS January 4, 2017 – 5pm PT (CES, Booth #17300) – Sony Electronics announced today two new 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range) television series designed to deliver even wider brightness range, higher contrast and spectacular picture quality. The new flagship XBR-A1E BRAVIA OLED and XBR-X930E/X940E series TVs make the best use of 4K HDR content with the combination of Sony’s unique image processor and display technologies.

Introducing the new BRAVIA OLED A1E Series TV

The XBR-A1E BRAVIA OLED series offers a totally new entertainment experience with a combination of the superior picture quality of OLED powered by Sony’s 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme, the world’s first Acoustic Surface™ sound system, and its unique, cutting-edge stand-less form factor. Thanks to OLED’s over 8 million self-illuminating pixels, the A1E series brings a significantly enriched visual experience with unprecedented black levels, rich and lifelike color, dynamic contrast, blur-less image and a wide viewing angle. The 4K HDR Processor X1 Extremeka_65_bty01_hero-screenfill precisely controls the tremendous number of pixels and extends the capability of OLED to deliver an exquisite 4K HDR picture.

“Sony continues to make consumer choice a priority especially for those seeking the very best viewing experience, and we are proud to introduce our new XBR-A1E BRAVIA OLED series,” said Mike Fasulo, President and COO of Sony Electronics. “Sony delivers incredible innovation and excitement to customers with all of our premium 4K HDR TVs through a powerful mix of technology and our exclusive image processing.”

BRAVIA OLED’s innovations do not end with incredible picture performance. A1E series uses the first of its kind audio technology to emit great sound from the screen itself. Taking advantage of the OLED’s backlight-less structure, Sony developed a new Acoustic Surface sound technology. Thanks to the ingenious design, the entire screen resonates with rich sound emanating directly from the screen itself. This allows a perfect unification of picture and sound unattainable by conventional TVs. It produces a wide sound and image synchronization from all angles, even off to the sides. Together with OLED’s exceptionally wide viewing angle, the A1E series offers unmatched visual and aural experience regardless of viewing position. The Acoustic Surface technology lends to cutting-edge design of the A1E series by doing away with conventional speakers usually located around the TV. The result is a unique stand-less form factor with no distraction from the picture.

Ask them if you could get a discount if you're not getting the bundled full motion wall mount.

I learned that what they're bundling is the full-motion wall mount.  best to get it bundled, sir @Verbl Kint.

As for my B6P huntings:
   a. my suki na OLX seller, he SMS me last night -- P77,990 with only the full-motion wall mount -- delivery fee P700 due to distance to our home
   b. a manager-friend from AB***'s, offers me -- P79,000 with only the full-motion wall mount -- discounted delivery fee P200
   c.  another LG salesman offers me P79,500 with the full-motion wall mount + P7 bluetooth speaker-- delivery fee P450

because of CES 2017, I'm confused if I'd get one right now or wait another year...  :-\

Content is here so I bought the TV already.

Improvements are incremental, at best.

What I saw is 2 more HDR options and 25% increase of peak brightness.

Sony and Panasonic will be positioning their products at a higher price than LG.

If you notice none of the 2017 LG TV are curved or have 3D.
