The price of LG CX is almost same as the Sony x950h. Which is a better buy in 2021?

OLED if madilim or controlled un lights
950H if open area at maraming lights..

OLED > LED in terms of PQ, IMO!
For 950H, maganda din and at par to OLED on some scene.

OLED still far superior even sa Full Array LED TV. Sa brightness lang tlaga talo kaya hiyang sya sa Maliwanag na area as mentioned above.  Also if takot ka sa possible screen burn in. Mas energy efficient din si OLED compared sa Full Array

imho sa brightness level and no burn-in lang lamang yung Sony, but on all other aspects lamang na yung LG OLED.

If you bought a LED, you'll probably ponder the what ifs for not getting an OLED.
If you bought the OLED, you'll probably never give the LED a second thought.

sa CRS 94,500 na lang cash ng 65-inch LG CX9 OLED, while the Sony X9507H is 88,300 ... difficult not to choose the OLED because of the price difference ... but there is still the Sony advantage on the app side (being Android), brightness, and not having to worry about burn-in image

LG VESA backmount holes appear to be lower than standard.  I have an existing mount on the wall.  If I retain the mount, the LG would be mounted higher than usual.  How do you guys deal with this lower holes in the LG?

Just pulled the trigger on an LG 55CX since the price was quite attractive na at PHP65k + delivery charges.

IMHO, resolution gain vs my old 2013 Panasonic plasma was very apparent.   Also I needed a TV to play 4k content since some streaming movies use 4k na which the old HD sets can't show.

Wanted a Sony, but since LG supplies the Sony panels anyway, I figured the picture difference would not be that large, as I also looked at both panels sa mall.  Mas mura LG so went with the LG.

Actually, if you compare the prices of say, the mid-level Panasonic plasma sets back in 2013, the current price of the LG 55CX is either lower or the same, adjusting for inflation over the years.  This means you're actually getting more for your money in terms of the sets now, kasi higher 4k resolution, Dolby Atmos, smart TV etc.  Note also 2013 was probably the period where Plasma tech was the peak in terms of quality and also the lowest in price, relatively speaking.

So yes, you can wait some more, pero if you buy the 2020 models (CX/BX/GX) at current prices, they present very good value for money.

Naghintay din ako until sets became more affordable.  The 55CX I recall is priced at par nominally with the Panasonic UT/ST plasma sets before.

sobrang mahal daw ng A90J compared to the new EVO OLED G1 ng LG ... $1200 difference as per Youtube review ... both have excellent picture quality, mas better daw yung Sony, but the reviewer was recommending LG due to the huge price difference

The only difference aside from that price?  The word COGNITIVE AI sa  processor. All.else is same...well sa sounds tech din pala.   If money is not an issue definitely SONY A9J is better.  Personally am only willing to shed less than 100K for a 55"
TV. And the price is actually dropping, lalo na yun outgoing model lol.

I did also, but didnt see any OLEDs except LG UHD 4k. I just didnt ask the guy coz he seems doesnt feel like entertaining, maybe having a bad day. So I went to the other store w/c they have & that was the price. No rush at the moment so there will be no regrets. hehe

Did Panasonic have a sale as well? If the 65 HZ1000 ever gets near 100k then I wouldn't mind getting that over the LG CX.

didnt have a chance to check on the PANA, was just aiming for LG, Sony & 3rd opt was Samsung. The Sony Oled was still high @ P120k up, I think only the LG Oled has drop below P100k as crazyhog said in Abenson branches. These are the 65 inchers.
