mas maganda pa din yung mga android devices (google tv, nvidia shield) kesa sa built in ng Sony. I bought a sony x70 and ended up not using the built in android since ang pangit ng image quality tapos mabagal. Ang layo sa chromecast with google tv.

the new models now has the Google TV instead of Android - seems to be an improvement from the previous years ... I also agree with @CeeV regarding the user friendliness of the LG WebOS, but limited talaga yung apps, wlang NBA TV at walang Chromecast

Only a controlled same content test and blind test of a videophile would notice....a typical non videophile like myself would surely not notice the nuances ....But the price will definitely be.
Here's a side by Side comparison review in The Installer...they both have winner in their  category but they were based sa US where they are exactly on the same price..@$2.5k 65"....panalo pa rin tlaga pricing ni LG sa atin ..

https://youtu.be/EkO10peURNc

Here's another review from the UK, I believe but obviously an Asian guy reviewer...This is a much technical comparison and again it point out that both have its own merits over each other but it's always said slightly over the other. The only  far difference with them is if your planning to use it  as game monitor...C1 is clearly a winner...and the sound of Sony is better....C1 remote is better than the Sony.....If it's same price here sa atin, I would chose Sony kase I don't have a gaming console. And for a change sa LG CX ko..

Just saw a 65 CX display unit sold at Abenson. 74k last price straight card. Manufacture date is 09/2020. It will come with 2 yr standard warranty. I'll be able to pay it with 6 mos 0 addtl interest with my HSBC. I'm itching to get it. Is it still a good deal? If yes what should I look for given that it's a display unit. Thanks. Medyo natatakot lang ako. I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Thats a good price already at P74k for a 65" Oled, before twas P99k in March this year. As a display unit, check the hours usage of the unit. If the readings would be comfortable with you then it's your call.
I was also offered before a display unit at P89k of the said model, that was when the average price was P99k but upon checking the hours the TV had logged was more than 3000hrs+, it didnt fit well w/ me so I just went for a new one.

Agree check the running hours, remember whatever the logged hours there is almost 20-30% higher in  lifespan factor (my estimate not technically proven) as it is set on STORE Mode where all the settings are mostly on maximum...

I will definitely check the hours on the TV. What would be an "acceptable" number of hours, below 1000 hours will this be fine? I also considered that this Abenson branch is relatively one of the smaller branches here in our community and store hours are limited. Coincidentally, I also saw a CX display unit sold in Trinoma last weekend at the same price.

If the operating hours are under 5k I would still buy it at that price on 0% installment.   O0

Most of the other TV's that have HDMI 2.1 use the Mediatek chip, which has a shaky implementation.  The LG (and Pana, actually) ones have been proven and tested to truly support 120Hz mode on the newer gaming consoles.

And note that this is a 65" and a great panel.  Considering that this pandemic won't be ending anytime soon, I would rather get a fantastic panel now and worry about it later.  ;D ;D ;D

Now I can't sleep watching reviews especially comparisons to the C1 and of possible issues ;D . The Abenson branch is literally within walking distance to where I live. I was about to go back earlier but the store closed at 6pm.  I was originally planning to get the Sony X90J which is priced at 82k straight card, but I can convert it to 6mos 0 interest with a card promo.

Btw, I called LG customer support to confirm if burn in is covered by the 2 year warranty. A local rep on the line said yes. Given that our country does not actually have the most honest advertising, is this accurate? ::)

they would probably have some stupid concept of acceptable burn-in amount. Like sa dead pixels lang, I think anything less than 7 pixels di nila tatanggapin. Ano yun!?!?

problem lang ksi sa display unit ng oled is naka VIVID mode sya for a year during mall hours which is 10am to 8pm. di sya kagaya ng lcd, oled is organic mas mabilis malaspag. on the side note picture quality wise walang wala si x90j sa oled even 2016 4k oleds will beat 2021 lcds.

Brand new stock ang problem actually. I saw somewhere about 2 weeks ago bought a brand new 1 at 85k cash. Last unit daw.

same dilemma. Just went for a brand new C1. The thousands of hours a display unit ,in Vivid Mode no less, just ate away at me too much.
Straight purchase price for the C1 went down again from my last visit by at least 5k, BTW.

I would side with everyone that suggests getting a brand new one. I personally won't gamble that large an amount in the hopes that they'll cover burn in.

Just to share that running time - pwede pala yan ma-reset... happened to our non OLED LG tv when we called for repair (quick video blackout pero normal ang audio).  First solution ng technician to do a factory reset....  the problem is kapag dumarating ang technician e hindi lumalabas ang symptom.  Naka bigay na ako ng 5 video pero gusto pa rin nya makita in person yun quick blackout.

Sorry for the OT.

Took the plunge. Total power on time on the unit was 1996 hours. Did my due diligence and ran screen tests, no issues.  All accessories are new, with wall mount (which I probably won't use, will buy a  full motion Sanus) comes with 2 year warranty. I'll have Abenson mount the TV once I get the Sanus. I am more than satisfied .  Ran Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and played about an hour of PS5. All good. ;D. Thanks for the suggestions.

How much are Sony & LG OLEDs of these screen sizes?

- 75"
- 77"
- 83"
- 86"

Do any of them start at less than 140,000?
