Alin ang mas okay?

Sony x90J LED or LG A1 OLED?

A1 all the way, kaso 60hz lng. pero for movies if you are not sensitive sa stutter ok lng sya, no contest sa picture quality oled hands down. x90j is bright and punchy sa una lang nakakahype dhil ang vibrant nga, but nothing can beat the realistic 3d depth ng mataas na native contrast of self emitting display.

ano ang breaking barrier price sir Raptor? hehe

I'm planning to get the 65C1, expected yan to go down to 80k based sa nangyari sa CX ... pag nag 80k or close to it pwede na, konti na lang ... ayaw ko lang kasi bumili then after 2 months 10k cheaper na, ok pa naman yung current na tv ko ... yung intro price nya nasa 105k yung cash price, 90k na lang ngayon ... pagkatapos ng Christmas shopping likely bagsak pa yan ... yun kasing 55-inch na Nano Cell tv ko ngayon, 110k SRP 4 years ago, nakuha ko ng 70k
Marantz NR1200, MartinLogan Motion 20 digital audio setup, and Sony A80J

I remember when people were opposed to high refresh rates as it gives the video a soap opera effect/vibe. Personally, I didn't mind it then as I liked how it made the characters in the movie so lifelike. It's like the characters can pop out of the tv any time. :D

While a 120Hz TV doesn't inherently produce better motion, it can provide a few advantages over standard 60Hz TVs. One of the most important advantages is the ability to play back content that is meant to be displayed at 24 fps, which is often found in movies.

Got it, so essentially it's better to get 120hz TV over a 60hz one.

San po ba may calibration service?

Yeah, bumababa yan mga Feb to March. I got my samsung LCD around March and the price was very low compared to when it came out.

Inventory sales at the start of the year can be very enticing. But note na eto yung time na nagakakaubusan ng stock.
Once yung window of opportunity passes by, intay na naman till the next price drop.  :o
The best time will always be the when you already have the funds, the deal is pretty good coming from srp and your friendly neighborhood store has ample stocks (kung may sira baka pwede pa immediate replacement from the store).

IMO,

Out of the box image processing quality, go for the Sony A80J.

If you have the means to do Calman calibration, C1.

SONY A80J
+ ootb accurate color, subpixel color boosting so bright colors arent as diluted.
- MATTE screen 55-65"

LG C1
+cheaper, has all the gaming features, GLOSSY screen
-color ootb is not the best but still very good, depends on panel variance

you should also check Panasonic jz1000s its very very color accurate, cheapest of the 3, only downside is the sound system is not as good as the other oleds.

Another consideration is if HDR format is important to you. The LG and Sony supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision while the Panasonic is capable of handling the full range HDR formats including HDR10+.

Same here, LG SM8600 unit naman.  1 month before ending of warranty period nagkaroon ng intermittent video blackout like flickering but audio is normal... may nagpunta technician, several times stayed like 1 hour sa bahay pero hindi lumalabas ang issue... given like 4-6 videos para magamit nya proof sa report nya... but still no action done, gusto yata makita nya actual nangyayari ang problem.  Kinausap ko pa supervisor nya pero wala din... 53k when we bought the unit.  haays nakaka dismaya...

Grabe ang ganda. Lalo na yung disney+ movies.
Problema ko lang yung iba sobrang contrast at dark masyado.
Example yung mga content ng apple tv. Pg bright ang scene dark pa din. Nawawala details ng muka kasi naging black na.
Pag gabi naman ang scene wala na ako mapanood. Sobrang black at contrast.

So sira sya now?

Kung nasira after mo ni report, dapat i-honor nila warranty. Kase nasa record naman nila na may complain ka.

Agree on here, kung abot na nang budget bilhin na. And malaki na binaba compared when the model came out.

Another strategy, kung nag aantay ka bumaba. Keep on checking caroussel postings. Kapag unti na posts, paubos na ang stock

Maybe a good reason to wait is for the upcoming TVs with OLED EX panels from LG.Display that were just announced. They're supposed to get up to 30% brighter than current OLED EVO panels so it has most of the brightness of MiniLED and none of its caveats like blooming and haloing. Great for HDR and Dolby Vision as these panels should come closer to the localized brightness targets of the HDR/DV content while the shadow details can still be preserved owing to OLED's virtually infinite contrast ratios.

Ganon pa din intermittent video blackout, walang pattern kc kelan lumalabas...
Per technician, they closed the ticket after couple of weeks or so kung di pa rin lumabas ulit ang issue - i think naka 2 tickets kami...

I think that is with most maturing technologies. There are new features and improvements to make people upgrade.

For my viewing, as long the tv has the features and technology that I am looking for and keep me satisfied I am okay to buy.

Just my 2 cents.

Well, I wasn't trying to convince people who already have OLEDs into upgrading. I was referring to people who are currently in the market for an OLED and are on the fence between getting an older gen product or an upcoming one.

On another note, if LG.Display can invent an OLED panel with zero risk of burn-in, I would surely get one to replace my gaming monitor.

I mean, there are always going to be new features for every new releases. If we keep on waiting, tendency again is to miss the enjoyment using what the current offers.

Again, my 2 cents.

Agree on burn in, there are still issues for static images for OLED. Not sure if this is rectifiable in the future.

What I was really looking forward to before was the SED displays, unfortunately technicalities and legalities killed the tech.

My almost 5 year old KS7000 conked out. Sadly, it is the panel.

No choice but to buy a new one. Has anyone tried buying from those sellers in Carousell. Are they legit specially the warranty and replacement?

Sorry but if this is a bit OT. but they do sell OLEDs tvs.

Thanks a lot!

most of those sellers are affiliated with Anson's Cash N Carry, hence reliable and would carry the local warranty - the receipt that they provide is also from Anson's ... look for CRS Appliances on FB, the owner is also a member here ... just a note that they only sell via cash ... I've transacted several times with CRS, they have better pricing for cash even compared to the best cash price that salesrep from Anson's can offer - I asked the Anson's salesrep why they cannot match the cash price of CRS, and was informed that CRS is some sort of a wholesale partner, hence they can give a lower price for cash purchases

Thanks sir Raptor.

I asked Abenson today  if they can match the price and what they can only do is discredit the sellers on aftersales.
