To get proof, ask them to check under Settings >> Devices >> TV Management

TV management feature will show you the cumulative number of hours the TV has been running on display

Recent Sony OLEDs (and X80 & above variants) get a nice software update.

Thank you sir

normally sa Ansons ang best price but they would only give it for cash purchases ... if you are paying by credit card mas mataas, but best to check credit card promos as well as store promos - pag nasabay na meron store promo (like sa SM) at may card promo, parang pantay or mas sulit pa than paying cash

May burn-in pa rin, di na mawawala yan sa OLED, so hindi po siya "safe".  The risk has been mitigated over the past few years but by no means is it gone.

As per my actual observation it usually starts at the bottom part of the LG OLED ang burn in a parallel/horizontal streak of blackened areas..sa mga nagamit namin ay its starts at 10K running hours..The burn is not that prominent unless pure white backgrnd ang scene.  We have one unit na 24K running hrs and still nice pics except that 1/3 part of the bottom screen with slight burn in..not noticeable sa normal viewing..kapag ginamit
Mo lang as monitor for presentation na meron white backgrnd., else not noticeable sya.. I think you can mitigate it by having a good air circulation at the back of the TV to lessen the chance of burn in.

@ raptor-Thanks for the heads up sir, will go to Ansons one of these days and will check credit cards promos as well.

Thank you.

@ CeeV- Parang inevitable sir kung ganun and mas maiksi pala ang life span ng OLED. Eventually mag burn-in siya after such time. I Watch a lot of nba,pba games kasi so meron static images, i play ps5 din kasi HUD display baka mag burn in din sa OLED. Thank you sir

Kasi kung watching movies, netflix, or usual TV shows, no problem naman yung burn-in.

I'm sure there are lots of OLED owners here in PDVD who can share with you how they mitigate potential burn in from games (depende rin kasi sa types of games).

If you use it as a PC monitor then I think that is the worst possible scenario for an OLED TV.

As for the QNED, I haven't been impressed with it, to be honest.  Mas ok pa yung yung QLED sa picture quality (Samsung and TCL) or, in the case of Sony, yung  X85 at X90 series (local dimming, and full array local dimming, respectively).  I haven't checked LG's 2023 QNED models though, so baka naman nag improve na.

I have a Sony OLED, I use it for tv shows, movies, and a bit of PS5 gaming nothing special on taking care of the tv to avoid burn-in image - no burn-ins naman after 1 year and 8 months of use.  Kaya lang nagkaproblema ang panel before the 2-year warranty (nag-blackout), kaya bago ulit yung panel ko ngayon. I don't think you have to worry about burn-ins, yung mga old plasma tv's kasi kahit anong ingat mo sandali lang meron ng visible na IR or permanent burn-ins, same with old OLED technology.  I think that they have mitigated it with the new technology and software, and even if there will be burn-ins, i don't think it would affect the viewing quality.  I expperienced really terrible OLED burn-in on my old Samsung S9 phone dahil sa kalalaro ko ng Sudoku - the lines were permanently imprinted and you can clearly see visibly when displaying a white background, but when you are looking at pictures and watching videos, hindi mo rin mapapansin.

One thing for sure though, you would not get the quality of an OLED on other technologies at the moment. If you decide to buy QNED or QLED and you have the budget for an OLED, you'll keep on thinking why you did not get the OLED tv. So for peace of mind get the OLED tv :)

Thank you Sir, if that's the case mukhang OLED is the way to go baka masayang ang money kung mag QNED Mini LED ako.

OLED user here. Lagi ko sinasabi sa iba na pagdating sa OLED ay wag matakot sa burn in, kasi mas mauuna pang magkaroon ng dead pixels rather than burn in. Pero owning an OLED TV requires responsibility. Like ako when I pause a video to take a bathroom break or something else na kahit saglit lang, I always make it a habit to switch the screen off. Yung Sony kasi meron ganun feature, sa lumang LG models kasi wala.

I suggest go for OLED na lang. Wala naman kasing top of the line Mini LED models dito sa atin. Meron yung sa Sony pero isang size lang ang option, and very expensive.

same with LEDs, no one can tell. Minsan 1st day palang meron na e. Warranties varies. Minsan may minimum number, minsan basta cluster. I've never heard of anyone's tv getting replaced because of a single dead pixel.

When you pickup your tv test it muna. Login sa wifi, turn on youtube. Watch an LCD checker video.

Coming from plasma and LCDs ako. Burn in is more prominent sa plasma. The reason why I said "no worries" sa burn-in is because if under normal use you won't see it.

Thank you

Truth be told, Sony offered larger OLEDs in the past. But it seems 77" is the largest we can get in the Philippines for any OLED brand these days. Panasonic and Philips (both of which have older models here) max out at 65" while the largest OLEDs for Samsung and LG in the PH are also 77" (both are 2023 models).
