in terms of pricing, parang sweet spot yung 65-inch ... laki ng jump sa price going higher to 77 then 83 incher ... but it had come a long way, I remembered the first gen OLED sold by LG here costs 300k for a 55-inch
Marantz NR1200, MartinLogan Motion 20 digital audio setup, and Sony A80J

^^  I would agree.  Parang lugi ka pag below 55", pero malaki naman masyado talon ng price above 65".

I think yung best deals talaga that I can remember was when the Panny 65" OLEDs were being sold under 59k while the 55" were under 49k.  And these were bnew units too (the LG's at this price are usually display units, while Sony's would never do clearance sales at this level).

hindi 77 ang max na binebenta sa pinas na OLED.

Eto sample

• 83C3 PSA      83 inches
✅(Free wall bracket)
✅️ 🔖 CASH, 261,900

I stand corrected.  I was told last summer that the 83" were being pulled out because of low sales (I think these were under 200k pag cash back then).

Mas advisable ba na i-test ang TV sa store? or sa house na lang i-test ang screen test, dead pixels, etc etc. Thank you

I do all my tests at the store so they can replace it with different stock if I am not satisfied.  In fact, I don't pay or sign anything until I test the TV.  I then ask them to update the firmware at the store.

Oh and don't forget to ask what promos the store may have like free wall brackets, soundbars, netflix subscriptions, etc.  The last freebie I got was an electric fan for a TV I bought (weird, I know), and they only brought it out when I asked.

As soon as the test and firmware update is done, I note what the serial number is (to compare it to the receipt later) in addition to the hours of usage (I also take photos of the info section on the box).

I then compare at home once the delivery is done to see whether or not it's the same TV.

kung sa store mo bibilhin they will open and power it on as part of their SOP, might as well bring test patterns to check for dead pixels and other irregularities

When I bought my OLED, I brought my laptop in the store and use this test.

https://www.eizo.be/monitor-test/

This was also what I use when I had my screen replaced. The technician confirmed using a youtube test (seems what they are always using)

Interest check. Looking to sell a 1 month-old Panasonic JZ1000 65" OLED TV.
it's a great TV but I'm looking for a bigger tv to maximize my space. Current sale price for a brand new unit is P92k (SRP is 154k).
I'm planning to sell it at a reasonable price (it will start at 7).

Like I said, posting for interest check if this is something some folks here might be interested in. If so, I will post it sa marketplace section.

You watch movies with subtitles ba mga sir? Sa Netflix meron settings sa subtitles, sa zidoo z9x too bright ang subtitles baka too much wear and tear sa OLED specially pag HDR or Dolby Vision ang movie.

This price is actually too good to pass. I replaced my 3 years old 65c9 for this. This TV rivals the G3 and wow what a massive difference sa C9 ko which is brighter than a C3. I just wish may autocal yung Samsung so I can calibrate it using my i1 pro.

I also checked the price ng s95c sa neighboring countries and their price are double or more 425k sa SG lol. Bakit masyado mura dito satin? It’s even cheaper than the lower model s90c in the US/UK.

They need to price it aggressively since this line of models is new and Samsung PH only does one year warranties for their TVs.  They even bundled this with really nice soundbars earlier this year (perhaps this promotion is still in place?).

Sony PH won't bring their QD-OLEDs until next year (I was told this but I have my doubts, TBH) so these Samsungs are the first of its kind in the Philippines.

WHEN my child cracked the family's Sony A8 65" OLED in 2021 by throwing the remote, I was unable to replaced it with a similar size dahil wala nang maayos na kita noon (the epidemic still claiming lives and many livelihoods uncertained). I was compulsed to take a Sony A9 55" from Carousell for a liquidation value (October na noon and they wanted to get rid of the outgoing model) - now this is a downgrade for me as 55" is now too diminutive for ageing eyes. When I saw this year that Samsung offers a 77" OLED with a price thats not going to beggar me, napaisip ako, maybe this is the only size that could at least "replaced" the ageing but still working Marantz DLP projector for that epic-size picture. Pero di maaasahan ang Samsung, sa US daw ito yung pinaka-notorious na brand sa saulian because of quality/reliability issues. I wanted to sticked to Sony because I already had Sony OLEDs previously (the A1 lasted for only two years, though, so my thought is that even if its a Sony its not exempted from planned obsolescence) - but I can't afford either the 65" or the 77", Sony pricing has become unattainable, post-pandemic. So thats out of the question now.
Then my ageing mother spoke of getting a TV na maaari daw niyang utusan thru the remote of what she likes to watch when resting. Naisip ko I better give the Sony 55" to her rather than let them buy something thats a smart TV but still a plain vanilla, non-OLED mediocrities. What will be the likely replacement for the 55" - thats whats intriguing me towards the S95C. Kung masira man siya after one year, I will lost something like P130K placing a bet on a brand whose durability is hit or miss, but at the same time I will get to see for the first time how a 77" appears on a modest home, and verify if all those glowing reports on Picture quality alone - are indeed true....

Yup I got the q800c soundbar which I don’t need so sold it for 20k. Also got 1 year disney+ and free wall mount and installation. Samsung warranty is only 1 year even in the West.

I had experience with Samsung before. A Plasma which I sold and a LED which I also sold last 2019. As per their owner they are still working great. I only had an issue with my LG Oled (dozens of dead pixels near the borders) they replaced my panel 1 month before my warranty ended which is like having a brand new unit again.

I believe electronics are like a lottery this days and so far I have been lucky. Hopefully this Samsung lasts 3-4 years since it’s one of their top of the line TV (better QC?). Before I need to upgrade again.

I also bought the 77 in S95c and I knew and heard about the Samsung reliability issues , but owning one of the best TV’s available at the price offered was something i could not pass up. Anyway after a few months of owning it , It’s still a great buy . The negatives so far but not deal breaker is the sub par unscaling and the UI , we have Sony and LG oleds in the house and the Samsung UI is the 3rd in the bunch ..

May I add to this thread... I took the bait with the Samsung 55S90C after knowing that the S90C has now become Rtings #1 over-all top pic for 2023 -- on all the fair comparo with other OLED contenders tech/feature by price ratio, I think... this is my 2nd OLED TV.  compared side-by-side with my LG C1 (from 2021 which is now >2yrs old), the QD-OLED indeed rendered better color accuracy and better brightness that I first thought I wouldn't need.

it's true that its Tizen OS is something I never really liked -- but LG's WEBOS and Sony's Android/Google TV is never perfect anyway.  i have some nitpicks over them too!  now, I'm only hoping that my S90C (and to other Sammy QD-OLED owners) will last as long and benefit more from this new TV tech for hours and hours of viewing enjoyment!   8) ^-^
