Topic: 3TB Seagate external not recognized by PCH -A200

Getting frustrated now... I got a 3TB Segate expansion external drive from my inlaws.  Transferred some movies from my pc to my hdd via usb then plugged it to my PCH-A200 at first it can read the drive but when playing a movie, an error pop appears and say it is unrecognizable or not playable by the player. 

Then I read about formatting the drive to GPT and that's what I did. formatted partitioned but right now PCH cannot even read the hdd! 

If there's anything you could suggest I'm all ears. TIA!

meron nagsabi sir gumawa daw ng partition so hindi 3tb lalabas
pero hindi ko pa nasusubukan

did you select fdisk or GPT to create partition?

yes sir.  nung d ko sinelect in the beginning yung gpt may 700gb na unallocated. hen i formatted it to gpt yun. pwede ng buong 3tb or partitioned po.

Hmm, check mo if your A200 loaded firmware supports 3TB, baka dun talaga. I had a unit different brand ganun din, after an upgrade ok na 3TB.

Just my guess, could be isolated to Seagate External?

I am using Buffalo 3TB external and no problem at all with the A200.  Same thing goes with 3TB internals connected via 3TB compatible docks.

If no good talaga ang Seagate External, then just remove it from its case and use a 3TB compatible dock or replace the case with one that is duly certified to be compatible with 3TB HDD - reformat to NTFS.
