I'm planning to buy a new plasma to replace my led tv. The 51F5000 is tempting with the Abenson promo but it still is more expensive than the lower F4500. Is the 1080p/720p difference big or noticeable with the viewing details below.
Dark room with a window with blackout curtain
Bedroom right infront around 6 feet away
PS3/BD and 1080p large files, Cable with SD and HD channels
My current tv is a Samsung 46eh5300, its 1080p but is the F4500 better given its only 720p? Apologies for the newbie questions, been a led user since day 1 but plasmas nowadays are really tempting with ridiculous low prices.
Appreciate the inputs.
I'm eyeing the same TV, PhP 42,999 at Abenson with free 28" LED and I would really say that 720p is very much acceptable in a 42" but not in the same extent as with 51". You may not notice pixels (not pixelated, but you can literally see each pixel of the TV) at more than 6ft viewing distance however the fine detail that being delivered by Full HD is very evident in the same viewing distance.
Besides, the F4500 model, even with their clean panel technology provides very washed out colors (whitish), BIG Pixels and poor contrast. The difference of F5000 over the series F4500, is night and day.
Panasonic 50" x50 or x60 models (720p) are much much better than Samsung F4500 series.
