price size/performance ratio

How you check the performance is there any rating? I think the price is alos consider as the title bang for the buck.

could be the orbiter/pixel shift feature at work (if your tv has it)

eto may video post
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=174080

Yes, it does have a feature like that & it's turned On by default. I switched it off and its now ok. Thanks!  :D

its not advisable to disable that pixel/orbiter while watching cable or on the air programs, your panel will be susceptible to burn-In images and once that happens say goodbye to your beloved f5000.

It is bang for buck so performance should be the bang
Bang could be defined as specific levels of display performance
In plasma it could be brightness, picture quality and power consumption
Features that lead to the ability to perform should be included in the "bang"

Anxiously waiting for delivery of my unit.

you can go by customer reviews and expert reviews ... it's my next level criteria after short listing the choices i have for my budget ... below are links (Amazon customer reviews - 4 stars overall, and an expert review - 8.8/10), note that in other countries this has a model name of 51F5300 -

http://reviews.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/samsung-plasma-tv/samsung-pn51f5300.html

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN51F5300-51-Inch-1080p-Plasma/dp/B00BCPGNF8

then my final criteria is my own personal observation, and in this case since i'm replacing my Panasonic 42PV8, my point of comparison is my TV ... no point in comparing it with the other models since i've already done that on my short listing and wala naman akong ganoong model ng tv (IMO) ... and i'm no expert but based on my observations, it's a lot better than my PV8 which was also titled "bang for the buck" in this forum 5 years ago, hence my decision to purchase

when i decided to replace my old tv, which is also a plasma, i budgeted for around 60k as my old tv was 60k when i bought it ... i was open to LED this time, but it would be a challenge to get an LED for the price, and the other plasma tv that fit into that price range - my option narrowed down to the F5500 and F5000, and since i'm not into 3D and not impressed by the current smart tv features, F5000 was an easy choice ... now i got my tv upgraded, and a savings of almost 30k which i can probably use for the new XBox One that will be released this year - 51F500 + XBox One beats the smart tv features of any models out there ... really bang for the buck :)

I auditioned the Haier you're talking about. PQ sucks. The Skyworth 50E66 is much better imo, especially in cinema mode + DNR off + warm color temp setting. Soft on the eyes but details aren't smothered. No oversharpening either.  It has that plasma look to it. Also saw the newer Skyworth 50E77 which is slighty cheaper and has a questionable "80W power consumption" which is unbelievably low, but images are overprocessed to compensate for the lower quality panel.

i haven't tried the USB port as i have an NMT ... you might need to check the supported file system format (NTFS or FAT), supported file formats, and supported disk capacities ... if it is a 2.5-inch drive, baka di kaya i-power up ng tv and you might need external power source

The TV was finally delivered at 4pm earlier
Unfortunately my Sabre rack mount does not support the 400mm vertical

using the stand temporarily and in the bedroom
malupit nga (I only have a 37-inch 720p 5-yr old Panasonic LCD to compare it to)
still have to try it in very bright environments after I move it to the living room

As for USB playback it can play the following
16GB USB 3 Sandisk Ultra
1TB USB 2 Western Digital My Passport drive

Plays all I've thrown at it
Now watching Iron Man 3 1080p 12GB file, subtitle working nicely, too

Astig din digital audio out nito puwede magpasa ng DTS, DD and DTS Neo ba yun?
But I need an optical cable to see if it will pass the 5.1 audio to my receiver

My software version is T-NVTF6DAAC-1022.0

Hindi lang ako bilib sa base - plastic yung neck connecting the TV to the stand
Plastic din yung quad legs. Only metal part is the pivot where the neck screws down to.

Glass front pala ito kaya reflective. Very very good light transmission in a dark room
Yun lang masyadong maliwanag para sa akin yung Movie mode so toned it down to 17 in the cell light setting

over all bang for the buck talaga
still have to test it on Cignal dahil tepok na naman yung 2nd box ko sa taas sa tagal na hindi nagamit

Ok naman po yung 1TB Seagate Backup plus 3.0 ko when connected direct to the Samsung 51F5000 thru the USB port. If you have a Bluray or some other media player, you can also  try using the USB port in the latter to play your ext HDD.

Has anyone used the optical out to a receiver, and the source was sky cable digibox? I noticed the volume levels were very very low. I have to put the volume of the receiver at around 80% to hear something. I'm not sure if I have the wrong settings, or this is just the way it works. Btw my receiver is an onkyo 607. Thanks

it will output(optical out) dolby surround where the tv is receiving dolby signals coming from RF input other than that the tv's optical out will only pump out pcm stereo.

Just got my 51F5000 and the first thing I see when I turn it on is a green dead pixel. Ugh. Already called Abenson's and they'll replace it this Friday.

Also, it can't seem to read my 2.5" WD external hard drive which is FAT32. My PS3 reads it just fine.

I decided to go for this tomorrow. So yung unit and tv rack for 24 months, nasa 3500.
