Anyway, na-deliver na kanina yung mga units and im currently using the 28" as my PC monitor and TV as well in my room :)

But unfortunately, may tama yung 51" ko, I've watched 3 movies, Avatar, Madagascar 2 and Avengers... the PQ is outstanding, a great improvement from my Panny PV80, but on the 4th movie (Meet the Robinsons) may lumabas ng blue vertical line 15 inches from the right side of the Sammy, mula taas hanggang baba yung Blue Line... I'll visit Avant Abenson Trinoma tomorrow to report it and have my unit replaced since may 7 days replacement naman daw... hassle lang :(

the unit that i got is a lemon ... just noticed now that there is a green vertical line from top to bottom near the left side of the screen ... i just called Abenson and requested for a replacement

Pareho tayo ng case bro, kanina after 3 movies may lumabas na Blue vertical line naman malapit sa right side ng screen... Napalitan na ba unit mo? Yung sa akin itatawag ko bukas sa store :(

i'm still waiting for the replacement, Samsung technicians went to check the unit last Wednesday and they said it would take around 5 business days to send the replacement ... green vertical line naman sa left side yung case ng tv ko ... pag nasa normal viewing distance, it is actually hard to notice

ang hirap nyan sa kagaya kong taga probinsya. though sabahay kung abenson at least meron pala sa calamba. kaya dapat sa may 7 days replacement, marathon agad para malaman agad. hassle pa din tsk tsk...

Medyo hassle nga brader Noli... pero cguro natapat lang, marami naman na ok ang unit nila...

Tagal naman nun bro raptor, kanina tinawagan ko abenson avant, yung Sales rep na nag-assist sa amin, there will be someone who will check the unit tomorrow daw to make a report, then after that dun ko p lang malalaman kung ilang araw ang replacement, pero sinabihan ko na, kung gaano kabilis ang pagbili namin dapat ganun din kabilis ang service nila, sana lang tablan, hehehe :)

Hope we can have a good unit after this bro raptor..

Nakikiramay po sa nagka issues sa TV model natin. Yung sa kin hindi pa nagamit ng sapat kaya ibirit ko na din kung may lalabas na issues

We bought the unit in Abenson Avant Alabang Town Center. It was expected to be delivered yesterday. (I haven't seen it, coz I'm not staying at my parents' house at the moment)
I'm hoping to have a look at it later when I get home. I have a off topic question: in case I would sell the free 28" tv, how would the warranty be availed by the buyer (in case of any problem)?

Bought one last Saturday. So far so good. one draw back lang is the speaker of the TV. Compared to my previous Panny S10, the sound is puny...

"during standby.. press mo.. Info Menu Mute Power.. check mo yung service.. pero huwag ka gagalaw ng kahit anong settings baka ma-dead set yung unit.. to exit the service menu simply push the power off button"

although my unit was replaced by samsung, natanggal ko yung vertical line before napalitan. for the mean time while waiting for your replacement panel eh try nyo muna ito, or after ma-check ng technician eh saka niyo pala i-try hehe baka hindi palitan eh.

Anyway, may dumating na Samsung rep kanina sa bahay to check the unit and they verified na defective nga ang Panel. They will report sa abenson today for the replacement, tawagan ko bukas ang abenson kung nareceive na nila yung report para sa schedule ng replacement :)

The one thing glaring about this thread is the product quality of Samsung TVs.  Yeah the warranty is there but what happens if warranty lapses? Ilang years ba warranty nang samsung tvs?

I gave this one a try, but did not resolve the issue ... thanks for the suggestion.

Still waiting for the replacement by the way.

After watching for a bit at 5',  I feel that the viewing experience is highly dependent on the source material. My usual 2011 kdrama 1080p video which usually wows me whenever I watched it on the panny 42x30 at 5' was just ok at the same distance on the Sammy. The video looked really nice at 8' (or maybe 10)

I guess I haven't really calibrated it, so maybe that's also a factor. I just used the default movie setting (with some adjustments)

Samsung called me up regarding the defective unit ... they insisted that they will only be replacing the panel and not the whole unit, noting that the issue was reported after 7 days (10 days to be exact) ... i raised a complaint to Abenson's customer service noting that this is unacceptable ... they'll be communicating with Samsung, but so far it is a bad customer experience i'm getting from both Abenson and Samsung ... Abenson should've done their part and replace the unit and just coordinated directly with Samsung and not leave the customer in between; and Samsung should've recognized the manufacturing defect and just replaced the unit, not leaving the customer with a repaired unit barely a month from purchase ... response time for both also sucks, more than 2 weeks after the problem was reported is unacceptable, and worst is their decision to just repair

i miss the service i got from SNS when i purchased my Panny ... seems that gray units are even better purchases as long as you got it from reputable stores

Sorry to hear that bro... very bad service nga from both side... hope maayos agad yung unit mo if ever na panel papalitan, at sana bago ang ipalit... by the way, may charge ba pag palit panel lang?

Ako naman last saturday bumili, delivered on sunday and reported the vertical line on monday and checked by Samsung tech on tuesday.. Wednesday na-fax yung report ng samsung sa Abenson Avant Trinoma, then thursday na-approve yung replacement ng unit, mamayang hapon daw ide-deliver... Sana wala maging hassle and sana wala ng problem yung replacement Unit..
