Brader Noli, hopefully last na palit na to, hehehe natapat lang siguro kasi yung panny pv80 ko naman walang naging problem sa pwesto at current setup ko e :)

Anyway, yesterday at 6PM my 3rd unit was delivered to me, i was the one who put it out of the box and same with other previous unit, it has 0 hours on it, so siguradong bnew... I watched for 7 1/2 hours last night and nearly 15 hours today straight and so far so good, hopefully this is it, and sana walang maging problem in the future yung TV :)

Sir,
Paano mo malalaman na zero hrs sya?  Ano ung procedure?

TIA

TFS :D

Now madali ma detect kung repackaged / used unit ang unit na bibilihin ng mag buyers...

mas mahihirapan ang mga marketing people ng mga appliance companies if they are not aware of this and the buyers are from PDVD :D

Every weekends while supplies last yan mga brader, siguro iibahin lang nila ang offer like yung last time 33K ata without the Free 28" LED TV, please correct me if i'm wrong. Sana sa xmas sale mas maganda pa offer, malay nyo :)

Try Trinoma Avant if you can, based on my experience maayos naman silang kausap, very accomodating din :)
We got our TV here last night. Very accomodating nga. I also mentioned that i went there dahil sa after sales experience niyo and i was not disappointed. 3 tvs ang nabulsan because the 1st 2 had single dead pixels each. Marathon mode para macheck kung lalabas yung vertical lines within the 7 days period. Sana wala. :)

Tsk tsk...

Yung dead pixel ba is a white dot?

Could be any color, could also be not emiiting pixel so it's black, usually brighter or darker than the rest of the pixels

Siguro naman hindi kasi it will reflect on their service, kung may problems yung tv nila sa resellers, madaling papalitan sa samsung directly. they have nothing to gain and a lot to lose if they sell defective units. I also own one of this. going two weeks na hopefully no problems would come out

I have this tv and never experienced any of those things.

So far so good, this tv performs well in my case.

I guess like with any tv, some are just lemons lang.

A case of bad luck lang siguro.

I got the unit at glorietta this morning. They gave it to me promo price, shop now pay later promo. Was going to to 6 months but the monthly is 6666.6.

After getting the unit napadaan ako sa listen up and ended up buying a pioneer vsx 522 and wharf diamond 9 hcp. Haven't got time to setup the entertainment system.

The 2 units with DP were marked as defective in front of me and will be shipped back to Samsung. To be fair with Avant, I did not even hear a hint of them trying to pass it on to me with the DP whereas I know from experience that other stores would have tried to. In fact the DP of the first unit was pointed out to me by their staff. The 2nd one was bigger and more obvious. It was a dark ugly spot.

Movie marathon and PS3 yesterday and today. So far so good.

esr101 sir,
magkano po bili sa Pioneer vsx 522?

some sharing about our TV:
kanina nasa galaan ako, naisipan ko ipagtanong kung may Samsung specific wall bracket para sa TV natin
sa Abenson sa Festival Mall itinuro ako nung napagtanungan kong sales person sa TV section
nung dumating don itinuturo naman ako sa CD-R King, he he he

nakakatuwa, lesson learned - kelangan kong masubukan Apple iPhone ha ha ha
according to reviews close to reality display output ng iPhones

Samsung Galaxy user S2 -Tab 7.7 - S3 - Note 2 - Note 3 -soon S5
there's that something with amoled output (parang Kodak is color, ba)

Also, saw Sony Z Ultra ba yun, yung 6.4" phablet - galeng ng tri-luminous output

Ok, got to test the unit. May 2 dead pixel. After some time nawala yung isang dead pixel. So isa na lang dead pixel niya. Called abensons glorietta and reported the dead pixel. They will inform samsung to make a report and they assured me that the unit will be replaced.

Ako, just claimed the unit tonight sa abenson's market! Market! Now being tested. 2 hours so far, nothing worth worrying though i am not really sure if i can spot a dead pixel if there is one. Apparent to the naked eye ba talaga siya? Pa post pic na may DP :-)

It should be evident to the naked eye. You need to check the TV inch by inch. Sounds tedious but it's really easy and the DP will stand out if there is one.

use the color blue in looking for dead pixel.  litaw agad yung dead pixel or stuck pixel, white or black ang lalabas sa screen instead of blue.

Guys, share ko lang routine na ginawa ko when I bought my first 50" plasma.
I hope i'm not threadhjacking, just giving out pointers to fellow pdvd members.

I got 50" LG Pv500 and as i've read online, notorious sa pagkakaroon ng DP ang unit na'to, not to mention IR.
So after I bought the TV and fired it up, i avoided tv channels displaying static images too long. Ok lang yung mga channels which has translucent images, keri pa yon.

And I avoided watching widescreen (2.35:1) movies muna for the first 100 hours or so. When it's inevitable, I just stretch it to fill up the whole screen, to eliminate the black bars on top and bottom. Since I only watch the TV for about 2-3 hours a day, need to say, it took a while for my break-in to be done. Just to add, I also avoided playing games on my PS3 muna as gaming naturally will trigger IR on the plasma.

Fast forward to Day X wherein i've used the plasma for 100hrs or more. Lo and behold, I haven't experience any DP and IR up to this day. Sometimes, I even pause the movie for so long when I had to attend to my baby, and no IR whatsoever. I even play games frequently after the break-in period and no problems so far.

Maybe i'm just lucky with the unit I purchased or maybe the breaking-in really helped but I can attest to the latter if you want to keep your plasmas kicking for years and years to come.

P.S. Calibrate your plasmas and you'll definitely love it more. Mine's no VT/ZT60 but i feel i'm in front of a small cinema when i'm watching movies.

My 0.02 cents.

P.P.S Plasma is bought May 2012.

I tested this immediately as soon as i turned on the tv. Connected my laptop to the TV then loaded a blank white web page.

I noticed immediately the dead pixel although its very tiny since kita mo agad black dot.

I don't notice the dead pixel watching movies and other normal activities na gagawin mo sa TV. So for me it's not really a big deal but since nasa warranty period and they told me na pag may dead pixel i-replace nila ang unit ko then why not.

Siyempre iba pa din pag completely no issues ang unit mo.

Good to hear that your issue has been resolved. I just called abensons glorietta to follow up on my dead pixel issue. They will follow up with Samsung and get in touch with me within 30 mins time.

I hope to get a better after sales service from them. Right now i'm still using the unit since nahirapan ako i-setup so bawiin ko man lang yung hirap.

There are some info on the net that shows some ways to fix dead pixels. Might try this one to see if it does work. Pero right now i'd rather have the unit replaced by them than me trying to fix it.
