Mine was finally delivered today minus the noche buena package (no stocks daw). Currently testing the unit, so far so good. I have a few questions though (1st time plasma user here):
1. Is burn-in still required? Presently on standard mode.
2. Can I apply the recommended calibration settings already?
3. TV has one audio out only via optical. I connected the TV's optical out to the optical in of my HTIB. Now my WDTV Live outputs sound in "stereo" mode only. In my previous setup, NMT's optical out was directly hooked-up to the HTIB and it is able to output sound via "digital via optical". Is there any workaround or am I doing something wrong?

This is exactly the first thing I noticed during setup of tv. Madali i-shake yung TV when connected to the stand compared to Panasonic plasma.

Mas mabigat yung panasonic plasma at solid stand pa, sana makahabol ako this month for this tv.

first off, the increase in screen size is quite significant ... for analog cable source, nothing much except for the bigger screen ... but if you're using digital cable source (HD or not) and using HD sources (BD and NMT), the upgrade is quite significant in my observation ... i'm able to compare analog cable and digital source because the way our provider (Cablelink) is setup - basic channels on analog cable and the add-on packages (SD and HD) on digital cable box

in conclusion, it's a highly recommended upgrade especially if you have good quality video source

I noticed mas sharp ang images pag laptop gamit ko source instead of USB..now I am curious..I'll try using the wdtv gen1 and xtreamer gen 1 in this display..try ko din hiram bd player hehe

Note that I applied the same calibration when using the USB and the HDMI as input..

pa share naman po ng calibration setting.

but I made some adjustment to suit my taste..I lowered the cell light and contrast a bit and up the sharpness..

Nakita ko lang kalakip ng billing statement ng Metrobank Credit cards. Buti dito pwede installment 12 months to pays. Nakaka-tempt naman mag upgrade ngayon

The 51F5000 I purchased last 8/822/2013 in Avant Trinoma is due for replacement because of a defective motherboard. Samsung technician was trying to blame the hdmi switch for the problem. They say replacement will take 2-3 days. We'll see what happens.

The guy at SM North says it's 34,997 @12mos and 40,900 @24 mos.

Abensons Stalucia branch offered me 31k . 0 interest 3 months. But it was a onetime approval only according to the salesman.  Usually they offer this promo on weekends and they just have to get an approval from their manager. try going sundays 5pm onwards

Thanks po sa mga current owner ng TV na to, and dun sa mga gustong kumuha d po kayu mag sisisi

Anyway, share lang po at medyo naging ma drama pa ung storya ng TV namin. Nakita kasi namin na nag price drop ung TV to 35,997 kaso nakalimutan nila palitan ung FREE na TV 28" padin ung nasa offer

Walang cash ngaun, pero nag deposit ako. Day before na kukunin ko na, they were trying to correct their miss but we didnt give in and after 3 hours they still ended giving me the 28" free at 35,997

Not something to brag about, just a lesson learned for Abensons na ayusin ung mga promotions nila before opening their shop

pwede pala 31k @ 3 months 0 interest! try kong tanungin sa Abensons Glorietta, Greenbelt, at Waltermart Makati. (mga branches na to pinakamalapit sa akin. )
