di naman sir, you need to be open minded and patient. ano lang naman yun parang debate its up to you kung accept mo or hindi we have different taste when it comes to music and audio hardware likes. minsan nagkakaroon ng mainit na debate pero pagkatapos nun e balik sa normal. kung san ka masaya thats good for you kung saan sila masaya well ok din naman yun.

i have tried taking off the DAC, so the means of connection from my source is thru earphone jack pero ang outcome is mahina yung left speaker its like your only using 1 speaker, so i put it back in.

I assume you are using a PC as a source then? Try using a cd player, or even a dvd player and play cdda and try to compare that to your PC+DAC source combo. That way it will be a dead set approach if it is really the amp/tube rolling or the source which you need to pay attention to.

jojo, i am sure you did experienced those...

 tube amps are unlike SS amps in terms of maintenance....
pwede kasi tanggal kabit ang tubes kasi naka socket, try doing that on an SS amp....
and that in terms of reliability they can have short lives as in pag naibagsak at nabasag....
one of the pitfall of tube rolling is when the tubes roll down from the table a into the floor,
thye make such a distint sound of braking glass......
no tube amps are bulletproof, even the branded ones suffer breakdowns just like any other
electronics...

I just wished I had more Chinese tubes to try, I heard good things about Genalex Gold Lion tubes and certainly not all of them are bad. One thing's for sure, there will be shortcuts and more often than not it's the stock tubes that suffer from their cost cuttings.

You are mentioning user induced tube destruction, though $hit happens and tubes are no match to a floor.

Ganoon ba, sana makapag palit ka muna ng source mo para malaman mo lang kung hindi iyon ang problema. Mayroon din pagkakataon na bago pa ang iyong mga gamit at kailangan pang lumapat muna ang mga ito, subalit mayroon din mga tao na hindi naniniwala dito kaya nasa iyo na kung susubukan mo. Subalit yun naman ay payo lamang po, maari niyo naman palitan na yun mga tubo ng inyong amp kung sa tingin niyo ito ang may kakulangan.

Ako po ay tatahimik na muna at magtatrabaho po. Nawa'y suwertehin kayo na makakita ng mainam at mahusay na pamalit na mga tubo para sa iyong ampli.

if you are a newbie, i suggest that you stay away from buying second hand, maraming nadadali ng bentahan ng second hand, kasi nga newbie ka hindi mo alam kung ang tubes ay malapit ng matepok....

sir try mo yung Anthony Gallo ikabit sa yaqin and see kung magustuhan mo ang SQ, you said before na ok sya sa HT,na check nyo naman po yung bias ng tube kung masyado mababa or mataas diba?i think meron naka print mismo sa ibabaw kung ano ang suggested bias para doon sa mga EL34 na tube at saan ang bias point/adjustment. check nyo din po sir yung mga glow ng tubes kung may napapansin kayong masyadong maliwanag or dim.

mga 3 weeks ago yta sir speaker tsaka amp. bka rin beaking period pa lng kc nung first ko fire up tlagang npa kamot ako pero compare ngayon, tsaka nung unang araw compare ngayon malaki na deperensya.

as for me, a tube in box is just metal and glass,
insert it in an amp and we go somewhere...
i am also of the belief that a tube by itself has no sound,
you have to plug it in and listen.....
and the character of any amp is developed not by the tubes alone
but in tandem with its output transformer....
tubes are easy, just go and buy them and you are go...
but what about the output transformers?
if you have an amp with very good output transformers
then maybe you do not need to change tubes...
unless they are shot and needed replacing...
this is the challenge to designers...
so in this regard, i think Mang Rod Teope is tops....
he can used any tube to bend to his will....

take note sir wag po kayo mag expect ng chest thumping bass sa EL34,base on my experience mas malalim pa ang bass nung gainclone(LM3875) ko compare sa EL34 ko noon at KT88 ko ngayon,pero pagdating sa mid and high ibang usapan na. . brand new nyo po ba nabili yung MC10T? baka po kailangan pa ding i break-in lalo na yung mga tubes.

actually anytime pwede ka mag tube rolling kung may budget ka. pero ang advice kasi ng karamihan break-in mo muna yung gear kasi baka pag nagpalit ka then yung ipinalit mo pangit din pala sayang lang gastos. like on my experience sa speaker naman,nung bagong dating yung bookshelf ko parang ayaw ko gamitin kasi ang sakit sa tenga masyado bright,following the suggestion of the majority and the maker too break-in ko muna and after a couple of weeks balanse na yung tunog di na sya bright, on tube amp ganun din, nung bagong dating yung KT88 ko parang ordinary lang pero nung tumagal at na break-in gumanda na din yung tunog,even my friend who is also into this hobby told me na may improvement talaga sa SQ.
