Amazing Stories
« on: Oct 25, 2015 at 09:34 AM »
Amazing Stories, the fantasy/horror/sci-fi anthology series created and produced by Steven Spielberg that aired on NBC from 1985-1987, is making a return to TV. The new series is being developed by Bryan Fuller, who will executive produce and write a pilot script for the project.

Confirming this remake in development, NBC recently made available full episodes of Amazing Stories on their website (http://www.nbc.com/amazing-stories), but unfortunately the videos are region-locked so we can't view them here...bummer.  :(

The only episode that I remember was the one with Kevin Costner. But I remember loving this show.

Bryan Fuller Exits Apple's 'Amazing Stories' Anthology

Apple has yet to launch a scripted series, but it has parted ways with its first showrunner.

Bryan Fuller, who was poised to helm Apple's Amazing Stories anthology, has exited the project citing creative differences. The split is said to be amicable. Fuller, who originally developed Amazing Stories for NBC before it moved to Apple with a series pickup, is said to have wanted to do a Black Mirror-type show, which sources say was not something the iPhone maker had in mind.
