December 15, 2003 - New Line Home Entertainment has announced it plans to release its remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on DVD as either a single-disc version or a two-disc special edition on March 30. The single-disc edition will run for $27.95 while the 2-disc Platinum Series Collector's Edition will fetch $39.92.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre features Jessica Biel sweating profusely in low riders and a tight shirt, so who cares about the rest? Ok, you know the story. Teens out for a ride, stop at an isolated house, whirrrrrr, buzzzzz, chop chop. Beef, it's what's for dinner.


The single-disc version will contain:

Theatrical version (1.85) of the film.

Original theatrical trailer.

Seven TV spots.

Music Video - Motograter "Suffocate."

DTS ES Surround.

Dolby Digital EX 5.1.


The two-disc set will include the contents of the single-disc release plus:

when i was in the states last november, i bought a dvd copy of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Special Edition..

It was said fresh after 30 years..


i think this one was the 1st texas chainsaw massacre movie..

I got luck on a Suncoast Video Retail Store here in Seattle WA. Its actually the Limited (Special Edition) Version of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre
