welcome naman kayo pumasyal sa house kung hindi ako masyadong busy.....
ang motivation ko sa pagbigay ng lectures ay para mahikayat yung
mga techies sa elab na gumawa ng tube amps, karamihan sa kanila solid state
at computers ang background pero willing naman sila matuto...

i am not getting any younger, sayang naman kung walang mga bagong sibol
ang magtutuloy sa tubes....

there are still millions upon millions of tubes in the USA and Europe, at
kahit dito sa atin marami pa ring natutuklasan na stash of tubes....

a few months ago, Edrel stumbled upon a big box of tubes
from a seaman somewhere in Malate area...
he gave them to me and for 2500 pesos, over two hundred of them
can be used in an audio amplifier although many of them are
tv tubes....what' to complain about?

sa totoo lang pag napupunta ka sa house, dun lang ako nakakapakinig ng mas matagal....

this topology seems to have a following....
high open loop gains tamed by negative overall feedback
for consistent gain between channels and even lower output impedance....
if we were to gauge the success of the Musical Fidelity x10d tube buffers,
then you will probably like this preamp also as they use the same topology...

notice the very striking similarity with silicon rey's preamp...

notice that while a 6AU6 7 pin rf tube pentode and a 6V6 octal power tube used, they are connected as triodes...
operated at higher currents for lower output impedance...
but at relatively lower currents so that the tubes are not stressed in any way, therefore
long life for the tubes is assured....

i am building a clone but using the 13FM7 dissimilar triodes, another TV tube....

ano resulta sa china 5z4 dun sa 6H8c na preamp?

gawan mo ng scorecard, 6H8c/6SN7 vs. 13FM7.....

parehas sila maganda master pero mas malakas ang gain nung 6h8 same source same volume same material pero baka pag na burn in na itong 13FM7 ewan natin he he.

master walang itulak kabigin dito sa 13FM7 at 6H8 na pre amp sa detail at crispness, lahat ng makarinig parehas ang impression the only difference is the gain mas malakas ang 6H8.

that's good to know....i am coming up with a "gain" knob on the 13FM7 so that users can compensate...

in another preamp, that's revision 1.....

inspired by the Marantz 9 monoblocks, i was asked to do two sets of parallel push-pull EL34 power amp...

17 x 14 x 2 1/2 aluminum chassis for the power amps...

12 x 8 x 2 aluminum chassis for preamps...

16 off JJ EL34 tubes..

4 off A631 clone OPT's..

2 off power traffos, 1 3/4 x 3 inch stack....

a fellow (rocker) audio enthusiast visited me in my turf today and we listened to different genres of music. From jazz to pinoy rock to new wave to heavy metal and we really enjoy listening to those music powered by the 35 watter el34 push pull power amp and the two proto type pre amps created by none other but the master... tonyT. It really rock our world and it really showed us that master tony's creations are not just for one side but for all!!! We had a really nice time!
