Thanx nolax, it's been good to see something happening after a few weeks of inactivity. Glad you like the house, I think it has turned out quite well

I think you're right timber, it will certainly be a lot stronger & less like a lightning conductor

Good news, signed the VECO contract yesterday, connection 10 - 15 days then 2/3 days to enable the meter

Hi Gino, yes it should be a good one thanx. I will have a lot of work to do to get both the HT & the Audio set up properly before the celebrations. I have a friend whose just arrived & will spend 6 months touring PH on a motorbike but will be spending Xmas with us so I will enlist his help

You're right timber, at least I now have a target date & can start to organise things. I've had my Cambridge Audio 851E & the 2 851W's in store for the last 10 months (house is 8 months overdue) so I've decided to power them up to make sure all is OK before the warranties run out

Thanx Nelson, did that but one of the 851's has a slight problem, I can't remove the XLR from the right input, it's stuck fast. Had it been the left it would not have been a problem, as I am biamping only the left input will be used. I've sent a message to Cambridge Audio requesting advice so waiting patiently

Thanx audiojunkie, if it all goes to plan power will be on Dec 10 - 15th. There are still quite a few jobs on the punch list that require the use of electrical tools but I think we will be moving in a week before Xmas

. I hope to have all the HT & Audio set up before we move so a lot of work for me

We used to have a product in the UK called Typhoo but it was tea but very close to a Ruby.

Thanx Weng, it's turned out a little better than expected. All through the past year the boss has been saying she can't imagine the house finished but now she's really excited & can't wait to move in

Everything battened down today so just waiting for Ruby $:-\$ .
Acoustic panels for the Audio system arrived today so I shall be back at the house tomorrow installing them. If I get finished I'll take a few pics

Checked the house last night & no problems - thank you Lord.
Marked the acoustic panel positions in the living room & will start sticking the Velcro pads on the wall this afternoon.
I have Latex paint on the walls & in 4 places the paint has peeled off with the masking tape so a bit of retouching to do

Everything is OK thanx, didn't have any high winds just some strong gusts & a little rain no damage at all. I appreciate your thoughts.
