The internal room size is 7.5M x 5.5M x 2.9M & after the instal of the dry wall will be 7.2m x 5.2M x 2.73M.
I will make sure I have the acoustics right before I do the final wall finishing but it should look OK. I have a couple of computer renderings which I will post.

Not a problem Louie. I'm only 20 minutes from the airport so when you're in Cebu feel free. I will have 2 spare bedrooms.

Hi Doc, I did have only wifey to worry about but she brought a puppy home the other day, 8 weeks old & wants endless attention. Guess who's turned into a baby sitter ?
I must admit I have been thinking about turning 1 of the rooms into a listening room (music)

Seems like you have a lot of time to baby sit for now. Priorities will change once your HT is up and running.

A couple of computer renders of the HT room. My architect forgot the colours so he guessed but not very well.
The carpet will be a deep red, front wall & ceiling black & the remaining walls ? I'm leaning towards deep purple at the moment but haven't seen anything I like in the colour chart I have. The acoustic panels will be black fabric with a view to having fabric covered walls when I am happy with the acoustic treatment. The acoustic panels will then be hidden behind the fabric, I may also put in some wood columns to enhance the decor.
The pictures are a bit dark but that's all I have to work with at the moment.

You're right there Doc, as soon as I can start working on the HT room wifey will be the puppy sitter & on completion I can see the helper (wife's sister) substituting.
I know the house is big (so they tell me) but hotel proportions ......................... ah well WTF

Black is good for fighting screen reflection. But also consider the substrate or material for their anti reflective characteristics. I few fellows here found out the hard way that their ceilings were distracting. Ouch.

Thanks for the warning Gino, The ceiling will be Gypsum board & will use matte black, if I have any problems that will be the 1st upgrade - black fabric.

The 3rd Richard Gray 400 Pro has arrived, I may need another one but will take some current readings when everything is up & running before I decide.
1st shipment of Green Glue Compound & Sealant arrived last week from sir Erwin. 2 more shipments plus the acoustic panels & base traps & we'll be good to go.

For you guys who want to know what the rest of the house will look like a couple of computer renderings.

HT room is on right hand side & runs the whole depth of the house.

Rear view showing lower ground floor, games room (pool & darts to start with), my workshop & laundry room.

ayos....been there for 3 times na, so hindi na ako masyadong interested na pumunta ulit, but now, may reason na ulit akong mag attend ng convention or seminar jan sa cebu, para lang masilip your ht room, he he....abang na lang ako ng mga invitations for cebu...

Wow! Very very nice and so so relaxing! Congrats! You even have a dedicated laundry room.

You wife must really really love you that much.

This really is a must see location in Cebu.

Make sure you use thick gypsum boards for ceiling. Or maybe MDF is another very good option. There are laminated MDFs here in Manila.

Yeah. Mine is. I have dark brown fabric for walls and decided to use gray cloth for covering the ceiling treatment.

Hi mykel,Seemed the best thing to do as there is a 3 M drop front to back. Thought of having the HT room on the lower ground but decided on ground floor for security reasons. Hope you get your room eventually.
