Well that video advice worked for my room. I placed the speakers and the listening spot on the 1/3 lines of the room. Bigger bass. More body in vocals. Midbass is spankin'.

For my 10x19 room, the speakers are now up close and visually wider apart. My stage limits are wider than my back wall. This gave me more definition of elements as they are spaced farther apart.

I almost didn't bother. I said, my system sounds fine why bother. Then I figured nothing lost if I tried. So I moved things around. Boom. Liked what I heard. My only "upgrade" in over a year.

Minsan magugulat ka talaga na simple placement of speakers can produce a very noticeable improvement in sound. Kaya before deciding to upgrade play with placement muna, do a proper assessment of your room & gear, then do your research well before deciding on a DIY build.

Reco niya na 17W x 23L x 10H na room is 391 sq ft or roughly 36sqm as a room size minimum (wala pang height nun)!

Yes a lot of room here lagpak. A room.smaller than ideal doesn't have the space for the necessary treatment for 70-80% improvement in response. I like the guy's honesty.

He told me the painful truth. For perfection I need a new room. We can treat a small room but problems will always be there. There are sounds you simply cannot hear.

Watching his videos na iba din.

Masakit marinig pero galing niya.

He speaks the truth (based on MEASURABLE facts) but still says that he understands the predicament of people who have no choice in their room situation and that while it is possible to improve rooms incrementally, you must operate in the notion that what you're doing isn't optimal if you want something close to perfect.

I like his no nonsense empathy with people struggling with small rooms. Better to operate knowing if and when your upgrades will matter.
