Both will forget their agony of defeat if Gilas will win the GOLD medal.

Limot na kaya ng "Angas ng Tondo" 'yung talo nila sa SMCM sa 3 FTs na nai-shoot nya kanina?

I hope so.  :)

Well Paul Dalistan Lee just won the Bronze for Gilas in the FIBA asia Cup in Wuhan China on a foul at the trey zone reminiscent of the same "No Call" foul on his 3 pt attempt in the Governor's Cup finals.
Cooly he sank all 3 free throws that sent Gilas to the medal standing.

What's the story behind his name? Bakit iba ang passport name ni Paul Lee?

http://www.spin.ph/sports/basketball/news/why-is-paul-lee-wearing-a-jersey-with-dalistan-at-back-in-gilas-debut-his-mom-explains

MANILA, Philippines – The former Air21 Express now known as the NLEX Road Warriors have released former La Salle standout Joseph Yeo in a deal with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

In return, the Road Warriors will be getting the Gin Kings’ first-round draft pick in 2015, according to the PBA website.

NLEX, which bought the Air21 franchise to gain entry to the league, also traded draft picks with the San Miguel Beermen.

The Road Warriors gave up their 2016 first-round draft pick in exchange for the Beermen’s 2015 first-round rookie pick.

The negotiations are reportedly part of NLEX’s plan to build a formidable lineup in the coming years.

NLEX won six PBA D-League titles before entering the pro league.

According to the PBA website, the trades have been approved by the office of PBA Commissioner Chito Salud

^ This Joseph Yeo trade was yet another midnight deal (read: benta) between Bert Lina's sh1tty franchise and his SMCorp bosses.

NLEX will now experience what its rivals went through back in the D-League ....... NLEX will experience how it is go against teams that used "unfair/unethical" means to load their rosters.

What goes around comes around ...... Ika nga ni John Lennon, "Instant karma!".  ;D

ROS star player Paul Lee requesting to be traded.

http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news/paul-lee-rain-or-shine-basketball-trade-san-miguel-corporation-basketball-lawrence-chongson

Yet one more clear evidence how certain teams are cheating in the PBA and how Comm. Cheato Salud is completely clueless (or is he).

This scenario has happened many times before (e.g. Joe Devance). Curiously, it's always been SMCorp teams that's been the recipient of star players wanting to be traded by their mother teams ...... bakit kaya ?  ;)

Paul Lee was offered the maximum allowable contract by ROS ....... Paul Lee doesn't lack for exposure as he clearly is ROS' star player - kaya nga siya napunta sa GILAS eh ....... to top it all of, ROS has recently won a PBA championship and is perennial contender for many more championships.

So, what logical reason would Paul Lee have, to want to be traded ?

ALASKA owner Steve Uytengsu has asked the question before ...... "What's the difference with our P350,000 (max contract) with the other teams P350,000? It should be the same right?"

Maybe SMCorp know$ the an$wer to thi$ que$tion.  ;D

His mind has been corrupted and he thinks he'll feel better and more secured working for a giant company.
But is he targetting San Miguel or TNT?

TnT has no assets/draft picks to trade for Paul Lee ....... kilala naman nating lahat kung sino ang mga buwaya-teams sa PBA.  ;)

Lawrence Chiongson was the one most likely behind Paul Lee's trade demand ....... he knows all about the under-the-table deals, being an associate of Tanduay's Bong Tan himself.

But come to think of it, its always everybody's dream to be recognized and after all, Paul Lee worked hard to increase his value and will like to make it big time while his career is peaking.
If may offer sa NBA, i'm sure he will jump into that too.

Any local player will jump at an NBA offer.

As for Paul Lee, he has indeed worked hard to increase his value ......... however, PBA rules dictate that he receive only a certain maximum salary. That maximum salary has already been offered by ROS.

Like I said, Lee doesn't lack for exposure, since he is ROS' star player and leader - his GILAS inclusion is evidence enough of this.

So, the one obvious thing left, is the one thing that everyone know$ - except for Comm. Cheato Salud.  ;D

I cant blame Paul Lee if he wants to be with a giant corp to secure his future.

Now who will be the #1 draft pick in tomorrow's draft by Global Port?
Will ROS draft Kevin Alas #2 now that Paul Lee wants out of the team?

Number one was locked down ever since he declared for the draft - Pringle.

For #2, ROS has always declared that it wants a quality big man - which the draft doesn't have ........ if no trade is imminent, I'd take Banchero.

Banchero is a scoring PG, like Lee ....... ROS ownership also values the "pogi" boys (Tiu & Teng) on the team, using them to promote their paint business. Banchero would be a good fit either way.

Let's face it. Most of our young players dream of making it in the PBA not because they love the game but because of the financial benefits they could receive. And when faced with choosing between principle and financial stability for the immediate family , what more the extended family, financial stability would win most of the time.

Alam ko sa bonuses nagkakatalo, especially for teams that win championships. Ang kalakaran daw is pay mag champion ang team, two months salary ang bonus--MINIMUM. And walang ceiling.

Baka nakita ni Paul Lee na dun pa lang sa unang championship ng San Mig Coffee, may trip to Disneyland agad na kasama pamilya ng lahat ng players.

Every non-basic salary perk are controlled/regulated by salary cap rules as well ...... obviously, ang hindi makikita ang mga side contracts and under-the-table deals.

Pero, the signs and clues are all there ..... all monetary things being equal and others as well (playing time, team is a contender, etc), why would somebody like Devance & Lee demand they be traded to SMCorp?

ROS' Mondraon asked the same question that many had asked before  ..... " whats the difference between their max salary and the other teams max salary?"

Besides, that PBA annual salary cap will only allow only 3-4 max salaried players per team ....... so, assuming a superstar like Lee would transfer to an SMCorp/MVP team, how can that team add another max salary player to its already loaded roster?

Mga questions ito na alam nang lahat ang sagot, pwera si Comm. Cheato Salud.  ;D

Banchero would have been a great replacement for Lee ...... would've also made another poster boy for the company.

However, it's all Yeng Guiao ...... Guiao has always disliked players with "attitudes" - in recent history, Banchero has shown some rifts and contract disputes.

This might be the main reason why Guiao chose Alas over Banchero.

=========================================================================

For the millionth time, BARAKO makes a vomit-inducing trade ...... BARAKO trades a high-pick for retread players that played with them before & will probably wont get re-signed anyway.  ;D

Hindi pa din ba nakikita ni Comm. Cheato Salud ang pandaraya na ginagawa nang SMCorp at nang farm teams niya?  ;)

As I expected, ROS drafted Kevin Alas over Banchero but strange why San Miguel passed on Banchero and instead took Ronald Pascual.
Probably the stage is set for San Miguel to get Pringle via lopsided trade with Global Port or Paul Lee is coming to town.
Kevin Alas will be at home with ROS as he join fellow Letran Knight Raymond Almazan and they can form an excellent 1-2 punch for ROS.
Another is why Ginebra took Rodney Brondial over Jake Pascual but come to think of it Brondial has the charisma to take on Ginebra's commercials.

I like Brondial's heart when playing ..... but he'll likely be among MANY bigs who are too slow and limited to be given significant time in the pros.

Good for him if he ever makes a niche for himself for any PBA team.

==========================================================================

Ronald Pascual (over Banchero) appears to be new coach Leo Austria's decision ....... Austria is old school, likes solid and rugged defense.

Yup, Leo Austria rehired as their new head coach.

Purves has been demoted to an inactive consultant ..... or he might be dropped during this pre-season.

Ganyan kabilis at kakitid ang utak nang mga SMCorp bosses ...... mabuti na lang at humingi nang autonomy si Tim Cone when he took on the SMC head coaching job.

If San Miguel doesn't beef up at the front court, they wont stand a chance against teams like San Mig Coffee, Ginebra, TNT and ROS.

Should SMB fare miserably again, asahan na isang bata na naman ni Danding/RSA ang ilalagay as coach.

Brader, SAN MIGUEL BEER already has a frontline Fajardo (2014 MVP), Arwind Santos (2013 MVP), Maierhoffer, Kramer & Chua ........ sobra-sobra na dapat ito, for any team.

Ang problema nang SAN MIGUEL BEER, too many superstars, yet only a few (Mercado, Lutz & Fajardo) can create their own shot ...... very predictable - all they do is dump it to Fajardo the whole game ...... overall team defense fails down the stretch.

Ika nga ni Joseph Yeo last season ...... " I know these guys, mga larong mayaman yan kaya walang nangyayari sa team na yan. "
