^ I think the first season is 8 episodes. AFAIK, no announcement yet on the second season. True Detective was planned as an anthology series, so each season will feature different characters & stories.

Finished watching it. Great series. It might have flaws but it did what great movies like Seven, Zodiac and the Silence of Lambs can't do which is to give the filmmakers and actors more time to craft a richer visual environment.

Funny but I saw a gaffe for the 1st time in my movie/tv watching experience. saw the back of one of the crew members hiding behind the sofa while Rust was watching tv.

Just watched it! Best show I've seen. Saw part of it on a plane: Season 1 daw, 4 episodes?? Had to catch the remaining 4 with a little help from my friends. The galaxy was in Rust's mind's eye, I think. Akala ko din may aliens. Men in Black pala 'to!

Just watched the 1st season straight up. Very nice, slow burn, atmospheric, greatly acted, shot and directed, smoldering soundtrack......what can I say. The TV renaissance is well and truly happening. Great time to watch.
