My 51 in Samsung plasma doesn't have picture but with sound. 4 years old na. If service can't fix this, I'll contact pekspert so I can dispose of this.

Tsk.

OK lang kung tuner kasi wala na daw analog broadcast by next year. DTV box lang katapat nyan.

Naku sir the problem with vertical lines in plasma is panel na po yung sira. You basically have to replace the entire plasma screen (that is kung may makuha ka pa na parts). And it costs around P30-40th sa panasonic. Not worth repairing it. Sorry to say but defective plasmas are just worth basically the equivalent of a lunchmeal at wendys.

Yup enjoy it while you can. 7yrs is ok na considering makakabili ka na ng 42" now for P15k pag nasira tv mo. Like Markcrenz said, madali lang tuner replacement. You can buy analog tuners for P800 or just put a skycable box ok na.

84" 100" 120" 150" Motorized or Manual Projector Screens still available. Just pm.

If you think about it, the initial outdoor displays are all plasma. And they were ON 24/7. Even the menus in some restaurants are in plasma displays.

Swertihan talaga.

Malaki kasi ang stress sa electrical/electronics parts during startup, plasma tv or not. Kahit light bulbs lang sa startup napupundi, rarely while in use.

Good day, sirs.

My 42" Panaosnic Plasma (circa 2006) has decided to show black vertical lines on the right side of its screen. Anyone here tried to have similar problems on your plasmas repaired? I saw a lot of Youtube videos on DIY repairs but I am afraid of trying it on my unit since I am not exactly an expert at electronic repairs. Can you recommend a reputable technician or shop that can do the repair? I'm in the Cavite area. I'd appreciate any suggestion, aside from "buy an new tv". =D

Thanks!
Ang tunay na lalaki, walang pambili ng bagong TV.

Year 2006?  Baka wala na parts yan.

Panasonic stopped making Plasmas years ago.

Currently my pv80 is wall-mounted and would like to transfer it on a TV console/table but found out that I only have the base plate and both the screws and 2 poles are missing. Any kind PV8 user is willing to spare me the poles and screws or sell me at cheap price please let me know. You may contact me at 0919-9997881. Thanks.

Our P42X20 suffered the same, dati palya lang pag ON, this morning totally wala ng red light indicator.  Naka 8 yrs din naman...

Ano na ba bang for the buck tv ngayon? Advisable pa din ba to get plasma these days?
We love the x20's PQ, since hindi masakit sa mata kahit manood ng matagalan :)

Usage:
60% - cable
30% - movies / tv series via nmt
10% - ps3

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Kung totally no power most likely it's a power supply problem, relatively easy to fix than other boards.

Sir markcrenz, same symptoms ng iba:

- while watching bigla na lang off/on, off/on for several months na... kala namin fluctuation lang
- blinking red light indicator (pero today wala na rin red light)

Kung power supply problem, nasa magkano kaya gastos sir? having second thoughts gumastos for repair baka ibang parts naman bumigay

My Panasonic Viera 42" plasma is still working fine--except for it's HDMI. No picture. Nakakainis. Is this repairable?

same problem i had with my pana pv70. i guess everytime nag overheat it produced green lines.  I installed 3 PC fans at the back to act as exhaust. It worked fine nawala na greenlines. try removing the dust inside also

We have a Panasonic Plasma TV na US version (manufactured July 2008).

I'm surprised na buhay pa sya after more than a decade haha (though we probably don't watch TV that often).

That being said:
If ever na mamatay na siya in the future (e.g. dead and beyond repair), then most likely 55 inch Panasonic OLED TV ang magiging kapalit nya :)
