« on: Apr 10, 2014 at 10:35 AM »
Hello Guys,

Can you suggest an 8 inch subwoofer for a small room that is intended for 50% music and 50% HT.
currently running on Onkyo amp for HT and ROTEL amp for music.

It is 10" but I am am happy with my Wharfedale SW150 subwoofer. It works very well for music and movies. It is compact at 1cuft. Not much bigger than my Mirage Prestige S8 inch sub.

The Mirage has been discontinued that is why I did not recommend it.

A lot of good subs in your price range were mentioned here. Still you are not satisfied. It will help the community help you if you have brand preference, size, finish, power, connectivity, or other specific specs.

If you don't know what you want then I suggest you get off your cozy seat and hit the different home audio and HT showrooms.

No speaker level inputs. Verify your connectivity options. This sub only has stereo RCA and XLR inputs. Otherwise it is a very liked sub based on reviews.

you also might want the GoldenEar ForceField 3 or the Definitive Technology SuperCube 2000. they might be a bit over your budget though.

Suggest you try Paolorenzo's subwoofer cable (much better than Profigold), here's the link:
