Lakers have a chance because they have cap space. But it's a really small chance, especially if LBJ's goal is to win championships, which is easier to do via the East. The only way LBJ goes to LAL is if he's always wanted to play for the Lakers, and he thinks being in Hollywood gives him an even bigger platform for his business and post-nba career.

It's prestige to play for elite teams like the Lakers and Celtics so perhaps that's one of LBJ's dream.

They're not gonna be able to get rid of Wade. He's owed a guaranteed $40M in the next 2 years. I think that he's only gonna opt out if Miami guarantees him an extension.

Wade's nearly done, so he's not gonna get offers close to $20M a year in the open market.

My guess is that Bosh/Wade of them will opt out so the big 3 can restructure their salary to free up  just enough space to sign someone like Lowry or Gortat. Haslem will have to cooperate too.

Thanks for the correction. Turns out pala Wade's decision is the most important factor in Miami's plans this off-season. Got this from The Sporting News:

The real question mark for Miami is the third member of the Big Three, guard Dwyane Wade. When it comes to decisions, that will have the biggest impact on where the Heat go from here. That choice might not come until the day of the deadline, June 30.

Wade is owed $42 million over the next two years, the end of the contract he signed at the same time Bosh and James came to Miami, in 2010. While Bosh just turned 30 and James will be 30 in December, Wade is already 32 and showing the ill effects of a problematic knee, as well as a spate of other minor injuries.

Ideally, the Heat will be able to sell Wade on spreading the money he is owed over a longer stretch of time, to lessen the up-front hit of his contract. If Wade were to opt out and sign back for something in the range of a four-year deal worth $50 million, he could give himself more guaranteed money while dropping the short-term hit to Miami’s payroll.

If the Big 3 cooperate and Miami manages to land a PG like Lowry, they should be in good shape - at least in the East.

plus he will have less haters since most of his haters are Lakers fans! haha

most of his miami fans are probably just the same fans who claimed they Cavs fans. they'll easily join the Lakers bandwagon if he dons the purple and gold.

realistically, i think Lebron will stay in Miami. Hope he gets the max salary that he deserves.

IIRC Sixers offer is better.... T. Young and the 3rd & 10th pick.

for me konti lang ang lamang. draft positions are better but Afflalo had an all-star season. I mean Thad is solid. But it all depends on the needs of the team.

Cavs have no need for Afflalo since anjan naman si Waiters. Mas maganda yung Sixers offer for me. takot na yata mag 1st pick yung Cavs ah. haha

mas ok nga naman if Wiggins goes to the Sixers. Would love to see him and MCW

Yup and the Cavs have a big hole at the 3 since Deng is not coming back.  Young is also versatile enough to slide to the 4 on occassions.  Afflalo is basically a 2 which conflicts with Waiters and might be too small to cover the 3 on defense.

But I think they won't trade. As you mentioned they already have waiters so they will draft Parker and there is no way that he will fall to 3 or 4. Or they gamble and bite the trade and get Embid at 3 or 4 then add Afflalo/Young and more pieces at 10/12. Trade Verajao along the way to aquire more assets.

What the Cavs really want is Embiid.  Too risky to draft at 1.  But if they want, slide to number 3... get Young and still draft Embiid.  They get a 3 and a 5 for next year.  I have a feeling they want to take a risk on Embiid.  That is why up to now they are undecided between Wiggins and Parker.  Embiid at 3 is absolutely not that bad compared to drafting him number 1.

Confirmed na... dumb move for the Mavs. Chandler is a shell of his former self. And Felton well... is Felton. The worst starting PG in the league.

they should never have let him walk anyway, save for Jason kid who retired right after winning, that team could have gone for one more deep playoff run.  Getting him back now is too late.  Chandler is way past his prime.

But still adding Chandler to guard the paint isn't a bad idea specially when they go up against Duncan and the Spurs.
I think coaches should learn how to manage the playin time of old veterans during the eliminations so they will still be fresh during playoff time.

If the MAVS won't take Chandler, I'm sure MIA will be interested.

Omer asik traded to new orleans for a future first round pick as per Woj of yahoo sports. Rockets are starting to free cap space to sign a big name free agent(lebron or carmelo) Si jeremy lin na siguro isusunod dyan. Mukhang may potential maging beast defensively yung frontcourt nina anthony davis and asik.

Good move for both teams.  NO desperately needs a rim stopper on top of AD.  While Hou free's up much needed cap space for a 3rd star.  Lin is sure to be shipped out now that half the problem is solved.

Terrible move, if only for the fact that Afflalo had a great year and was clearly the team's best player.

However, its mostly about having cap space and stocking on picks these days ...... besides, its not as of the MAGIC are contending, even in an inept Eastern Conference. MAGIC GM Hennigan got himself some more cap space.
