Clarkson's mom is reportedly "partially Filipina" ???  Looks like an OK pick if he was projected to be a late first rounder or early second rounder.

been watching Shabust since high school? well if so, you'd know he is short and unathletic. just coz a college kid lit up during the NCAA tourney doesnt mean it will translate sa NBA. The odds are against him. Buti sana if he had hops like Ty, Thomas or Robinson.

We'll see how he does but I really think people are overrating him.

In fairness to Shabazz, he lead his team to an NCAA championship vs a very stacked Kentucky team. Kentucky had at least 6 future NBA prospects (Cauley-Stein didn't play), including that kid that the Lakers picked at #7.

And if the Napier pick helps Miami retain Lebron, it's already an A+ pick.

It mght be the rule but there are exceptions.  They said the same thing about Mark Jackson, John Stockton.  Depende siguro sa system ng team.  Yun nakuha ng Lakers last year na first rounder ng Suns....hindi umubra sa Phoenix but was excellent in the Lakers system under MDA.  It's premature to close the book on him.

Miami needs a guy like him, he can shoot , makes his way to going to the basket, I just hope he can sharpen his passing skills ...yup He's is overrated ...mainly because of the NCCA Championship where he was named the "Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four "...for me that is special :) ....but being in the NBA now? ..it's still a long way ...sana  nga it's not  all  hype for this guy

As someone who was forced watched Kendoll backup Dragic and Telfair for a year trust me when I say he suck donkey balls. He's exactly the same player under Dantoni. Un athletic, pass first PG who still can't shoot or finish at the basket. Nabigyan lang mahabang playing time at greenlight to shoot cause the lakers want to finish high in the lottery. Also Mr. Planters' system tend to make PGs look better than they really are. Remember Felton and Lin?

Experience vs Youth yun bro. Talent-wise super stacked UK but Shabust and co were very experienced. Mukhang maganda din coaching ni Ollie pero Lebron should calm down on his view of the guy. I think he said he would take Napier 1st among all other PG prospects. Absurd!!! He got caught up with March madness. Sabagay, Lebron never experienced College kaya siguro ambilis maimpress sa pinakita ni Napier.

Isa pa yun si Marshall. But at least he has great passing skills since college. Sabagay, pwede pa to si Shabust if he can play like Barea or Jameer. Definitely premature pero I just dont get what others see in him.

^Hayaan mo nang pasayahin nila si Da King. Baka umalis pa yan sa South Beach.

24th pick lang naman. if Lebron forced Miami to pick Shabazz in the lottery, then it would've been truly absurd.

haha

With the 5th pick, the Miami Heat select Shabust Napier the overrated Senior from the University of Connecticut. That would have been crazy.

Anyway, it was a good draft. Hope Aaron Gordon develops well in Orlando. I like that kid.

Would love to see Gordon, Lavine and Wiggins in the dunk contest next year. Kaya lang iffy pa si Wiggins when asked in one interview about joining it.
