Celtics beat the Lakers in drafting Smart.
Could this mean Rondo will be traded for other draft picks?

mukhang di din si Smart yung target nila so that's cool. watching his work out with the Lakers turned me off sa shooting nya. si Randle on the other hand showed that he had a great shooting touch

Randle is an excellent pick for the Lakers.
For sure he'll start at power forward.

Bogdan Bogdanovic sounds like the serbian equivalent of Alan Alano and Pedro Pedroso.

If they get Pau at a discounted rate and they manage to package Nash in a trade the Lakers may be back in the playoffs after just a year absence. Re-sign Hill, Swaggy P and getting good role players is a must. The Nash trade seems improbable though given his health.

I think Nash would rather retire than be traded to another team.

the Nash trade is actually more probable. he has an expiring contract. attractive for teams looking to get cap space next year

Even so I doubt they will make the playoffs.  Dallas the 8th seed won 49 games just to make the playoffs.  And with the Chandler trade, have actually improved defensively.  The west is so stacked, who will the Lakers bump off?  Dallas, Memphis, Golden State?  None of those at least this year imo.  Well another shot at the number 1 pick again next draft.

As for Pau, he goes to the Clips for the MLE. Perfect coach, perfect line up.....no need to pack up and relocate!   ;D

They'd be lucky to reach the 2nd round in the West with a lineup that features Pau, Kobe and Swaggy Pee as their main weapons. Randle is still a rookie. Nobody will take on Nash contract without including at least a future first round pick (their only asset). Do Laker fans really want a team that's only good enough to make the playoffs but never good enough to win the title?

Championship or bust lang for me. if i know na malabo title run, id rather have more losses for higher lottery chances. For this tho, I'd like to see them in the playoffs just to avoid giving the Suns a high pick. haha

this is why the East usually sucks. dumb moves by East GMs. bulls giving up 2 picks for Mcderp who will probably be a Korver type.

but he's the brazilian kevin durant! pero mukhang ok naman na gm si masai ujiri. he immediately got rid of rudy gay and his massive contract and the raptors took off ever since.

He was also the GM that reshaped the George Karl coached Nuggets.

Masai Ujiri is one of the best GM's in the league so I give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. I was just so amused with that pick, Bruno was seemingly on no one's radar and then he gets drafted 20th. Apparently the Jazz (#23) and the Suns (#27) were also interested in Caboclo so they picked him early when their targets (Ennis, Harris) were gone.

I think the Nuggets came out on top on the Dougie trade, but Chicago didn't make out too poorly either. MCD's a good fit, and they gain a tiny bit of cap space. EDIT: Apparently, Randolph was also included in the deal so the Bulls don't really gain any cap space, they're just really high on Dougie.

Teams who did the worst in the draft = Clippers, Wizards

but he's the brazilian kevin durant! pero mukhang ok naman na gm si masai ujiri. he immediately got rid of rudy gay and his massive contract and the raptors took off ever since.

Not to mention that he fleeced the Knicks twice -- the Melo and the Bargnani trades. He's a wizard.

Masai Ujiri is one of the better GM's in the NBA ....... he's obviously thinking long term.

I am aware about Masai's successful deals before. However, this one isnt one of his best moves. His Raptors are emerging and he needed immediate talent, not some future project.

As for the Bulls, what can Mcderp do that Dunleavy cant?  Ok...maybe he can do Nowitzki fadeaways and post up a little but I dont think it was worth giving up 2 picks to get him. *although baka cap consideration din yung move na yun

Yes, Masai is a heady GM alright.
Except for that last speaking engagement he did where he publicly shouted "F$#K Brooklyn!" that irritated yet motivated the Nets. :P :P :P

McDermott is more versatile, has more range and is a lot better rebounder than Dunleavy bro! There's a lot more McD can do better than Dunleavy.  It was a case of getting a very good player to plug a huge hole in their line up versus getting 2 players who play the same position as Noah and Butler.  And both of them are well established already.

Mukha lang one sided kasi 2 for 1.
