Stayed up late to watch the ORL-PHI match up too. Noel doesn't look like he's in terrific shape yet, but he looks really good. He's only credited for 1 block, but he bothered a lot of shots. Some very quick hands too.

Si Payton di man lang nakaporma. Gordon's perf went about as expected based on his college play. Devyn Marble looks like a natural. Mcdaniels hasn't been unleashed yet, but he looked decent -- blocked a couple of shots in less than 20 minutes of play. Kawawa si Pierre Jackson - torn Achilles.  :(

Impressive si Noel on offense and on D, his long limbs were very bothersome for the opposing player. I hope he continues to improve.

Kawawa nga si Jackson. Ganda ng laro nya kanina. Looked like a real gamer. Also liked that pesky guy who kept bugging Oladipo the whole time.haha

Wow!  When was the last time a player left the Lakers to join the Clippers?  Or did it ever happen?

Edit:  Si Matt Barnes din pala.   :D

Boris Diaw agrees to a re-sign with the Spurs for 3 years at $22 million.  The Spurs really have a market on value for money contracts!

I'm sure Boris realize it's best for his career to stay with the Spurs and Pop's system will benefit him making his game bloom with the team.

McRoberts and Granger commits to HEAT ...... Riley moves revealed.

http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/11187465/josh-mcroberts-commits-four-year-deal-miami-heat

McRoberts is a tough kid, decent passer - which is always a welcome in any team ...... however, it had to take the full mid-level exception to sign him up.

When healthy, Granger should provide decent minutes off the bench ....... didn't break the bank to sign him up as well.

Will this be enough to convince Lebron to return.  ;)

I think Granger took the bi-annual.  If everything stays the same.... vet minimum na lang ang Miami the rest of the way barring any trade or sign & trade.

^ Yup, Granger did take the bi-annual ..... the good news is, Riley is known for "fleecing" serviceable vets on taking the vet minimum e.g. Lewis, Oden, etc.

I think it will take a decent PG signing to finally convince Lebron to stay with the HEAT ...... havent seen the list of eligibles yet, sino pa ba ang available na notable PG's out there ?

Everyone is waiting for Lebron ..... parang domino lang ito, once Lebron decides, everything else will fall into place really fast.  ;D

From CBA standpoint,  sugal ginawa ni Riley (unless of course sure na siya na babalik yung tatlong kolokoys) kasi MLE and BAE gagamitin. Cant use those two if you still have cap space. So Riley is assuming talaga na puno yung cap space nya.

Allen has a desire to continue playing alongside LeBron James, whom he developed a close relationship with during their two seasons together in Miami, whether it is with the Heat or another team.

That's actually an excellent offer for Bosh.  He said he doesn't want to rumble inside the paint anymore and just wants to shoot jumpers.  Howard will do that now.  So he gets a max contract just camping in the corners or elbows and shoot jumpers all day from assists or passes off of Harden penetrations.

I actually also think its time for bosh to move.  He's taken too much of a back seat to lebron and wade.  The way he retooled his shooting range to include the 3 is not easy considering that his game in the past was midrange jumpers and driving to the basket.

Only, from what Ive read, there has been no contact yet  between Bosh and  the  Rockets. Broussard and ESPN has been really terrible with their reports. Sa kawalan nila ng info, they just  make up crap out of thin air, spin it until it looks real and people will believe it.

Pansinin nyo tweets nyang si Broussard. Nakakatawa.

Eto isang example:

@Chris_Broussard: Anyone who knows LeBron well knows his decision will be made by him alone, not by Rich Paul, Maverick Carter or Pat Riley...

LEBRON TO ANNOUNCE DECISION AT UNITED NATIONS
http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport/2014/07/lebron-to-announce-decision-at-united-nations.html

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—N.B.A. superstar LeBron James said Tuesday morning that he would announce the name of the team that he is signing with on Thursday at a special session of the United Nations General Assembly to be convened especially for that purpose.

“This decision affects everyone on the planet,” James said. “I want to let all the nations on Earth know at the same time.”

An emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday was deadlocked on the issue, with seven members wanting James to remain in Miami, seven others hoping for a return to Cleveland, and Lithuania abstaining.

The Miami Heat president, Pat Riley, and the Cleveland Cavaliers owner, Dan Gilbert, both confirmed that they would be in the audience at the United Nations to hear James announce his decision. “I’m not going to lie: I wish he’d tell me in advance,” Riley said. “But I guess I’ll have to wait to hear along with Russia, China, Ecuador, and everybody else. That’s the way LeBron wants it.”

To help him with his decision, the N.B.A. star has assembled an esteemed circle of advisers, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the scientist Stephen Hawking, all of whom are expected to be in attendance for the United Nations announcement.

The U.N. General Secretary, Ban Ki-moon, acknowledged on Tuesday that the world body had many other issues on its plate, including conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, but added, “It’s really hard to focus on anything until we know where LeBron is going.”

Breaking: LeBron James Leaning Toward Joining Al-Qaeda

MIAMI—After viewing its latest pitch highlighting all he could accomplish with its organization, NBA power forward LeBron James confirmed Tuesday that he is currently leaning toward joining the militant Islamic group Al-Qaeda. “I’ve been doing my due diligence, and right now I’m really interested in [Al-Qaeda leader] Ayman al-Zawahiri’s vision and what he has already built over there,” said James, adding that while he has also considered offers from terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram and the Taliban, he believes heading to Al-Qaeda remains his best opportunity to defeat the West in the immediate future. “It seems like they’re open to doing a max deal, but I’d be willing to take a pay cut if that’s what it’ll take for them to bring in a big-time cell leader to work alongside me. Of course, I also can’t ignore their storied history and the fact that they have such a loyal following. I’m certain they have the personnel to take out both L.A. and San Antonio. Overall, I think moving to the Arabian Peninsula is the best option for me right now, and it will help take me to the next level.” At press time, James confirmed that his agent Rich Paul, who has been overseas negotiating with the group, has not been heard from in six days.   >:D >:D

anyway, a more realistic rumor:  Nike has bought all available billboards in Cleveland. It might be for the Return of the King ads IF he does sign with the Cavs. :D

hmmmm.. on a business standpoint.. maybe nike does have an insider knowledge where lbj is headed to...

interesting..

on a side note.. will he make "the decision" part 2? or has he learned from his previous mistake>

my opinion.. make "the decision 2" if he's going back to cleveland.. otherwise, dont do it na.. unless he wants to play the bad guy again and get millions of backlash...

ganda ng title ng "the decision2: the prodigal son returns!"

If Lebron returns to Cleveland he will earn the respect that he deserves. Winning a championship with the Cavs will mean an epic legacy. The move will also be great for basketball.

I think I read somewhere that Lebron said if he could change things, he would not have done the decision daw.

With that said, the people who will be expected to make a decision are the bandwagon Heat fans. haha

siguro babalik na sya kaya magkakaroon ng "Decision 2"

ano kaya sasabihin niya? "taking back my talents to Akron"

tapos yung mga taga-Miami naman ang magsusunog ng jersey niya.
