I'm surprised Morey didn't match.  The reason for the Ariza signing which would have seem to come out of nowhere was to eat the freed up cap space before matching Parsons.  Bosh I surmise really had no plans to leave the Heat at any point in time.  He just used free agency to drive up his price.  And to add to the Lebron decision, it just occurred to me that he had already made up his mind to go back to Cleveland as early as June 22.  Lebron's wife never would have tweeted a pic of Akron Ohio if they were still undecided.  Teams should have taken that seriously.   :D

Bosh the main man in Miami Heat? Goodluck with that!

To be fair to Bosh, he was "da man" when he played for the RAPS years back ...... he has experience being the main man.

His numbers will inevitably go up this season, however it's the win column which is important.

With Lebron's departure, the HEAT will likely abandon that frantic pressure defense and settle down to Riley's tested slowdown half-court defense ..... still effective, but just ugly to watch.

I wouldn't put too much weight on Bosh's stint as the main guy with the Raptors. He was easily the most talented guy at that time and he was merely the de facto main guy due to the lack of talent on those Raptors teams. But even then, people have always pegged him to be a #2 guy who really needed a real deal main guy.

Anyway, mukhang decent pa din Heat with the addition of Deng.

____

For Lakers fans, Randle finally signed and was able to play at last kanina sa summer league. Wasn't too impressed. Still saw the same stuff from the NCAA finals. He still hovers around the perimeter a lot and seemingly floating like a friendly ghost. Jordan Clarkson naman maganda pinakita although very turnover prone.

Lots of Rockets fans upset that:

Asik
Lin
Parsons
1st round pick/protected 2nd round pick

turned into

Ariza

Meron ding 1st rd pick from the Pelicans to add to Morey's haul

Morey's gamble didn't pay off, but I think Ariza really fits in well with that team.

may info ba kung anong protection ng pick? knowing the crappy Pelicans, they should heavily protect that pick.

hou should have matched the parsons offer, parsons really fit well with the current rockets team. he's the not the primary option but contributes quite well. a lot more upside than ariza.

Naging 3 way trade pala yun Ariza acquisition.  They also got Alonzo Gee.  I remember him being a decent rotational player in Cleveland.  Sana magamit din ng Houston.

The pick protection reported by Brian Windhorst is that Houston receives the pick if it falls anywhere from 4th to 19th.

I think Parson is a better overall player, but Ariza fits in better with Rockets because they need to surround Harden w/ defensive minded types. He's also a lot cheaper.

Ariza is garbage pag bagong sign ng contract. He will go into hibernation like what he did in houston before and when he was in new orleans.

Then all of a sudden when its a contract year with the wizards he decided to play well again? lol.

^he was in a different situation when he was first signed in Houston. He was prematurely assigned w/ the task of being one of the main offensive options on an injury riddled Houston team. He was 2nd on FG attempts per game on that Rockets team (most attempts: Aaron Brooks.)

pwede ring contract year outlier lang performance ni Ariza last year. But with his skillset as a 3 and D guy (he led the league in corner 3's last yr.), his contract is a very reasonable gamble.

yep around that ballpark. 8m-10m probably. should still be able to get a few more pieces.

favorable sa Rockets

Top 3 and 20 onwards protected? wow. favorable nga!

haha

that is actually a good evaluation of Ariza. Mukhang one of those contract year guys. Gets paid, goes to cruise control.

Somebody on Twitter said he is more like Lamar Odom (handles not as good) than Zach Randolph.

nah-uh. Lamar is a point-forward. The only thing that reminds me of Lamar when watching Randle? They are both left-handed. Otherwise, ibang iba. Few plays kanina Randle looked lost sa pick and roll. He set up picks but forgot to roll. Biglaan pa yung pag suit up nya since 20minutes before the game tsaka lang nasign yung contract nya. Hope he plays better tomorrow.

In terms of winning now, yep, nganga talaga. It's better this way, IMO. I would rather have a chance to get Durant pa (pero suntok sa buwan rin kasi loyal yun).

Tiis tiis muna. Anjan naman si Swaggy P to entertain us.hahaha!

What number will LBJ wear for the CAVS?
His old #23 or will he wear #6?

I don't understand why Gasol thinks he should play for the Bulls instead of the Melo led Knicks under his former coach (Philjax) and team mate (Fisher).

32 daw. His hs freshman jersey number.

As for Gasol, may rumor na culture daw yung tiningnan din nya. Kaya daw di nya din pinili mag OKC. Haha not sure kung totoo. Pero Pau is a very classy guy so it might be possible.

Just read on twitter that Russell Westbrook is also coming over to play in the Gilas charity games next week.

:D There are also tweets from Terrence Ross and Ed Davis suggesting that they are also coming over. It's going to be quite a basketball show next week!

Yep. Still some wiggle room in there to add pieces that can help them. But as of now, I think they really took a step back compared to their lineup last season.
