They say the stanchions at the Thomas & Mack Center are also closer to the baseline than in standard NBA courts.

Too bad for PG. But he'll recover, no doubt. Bata pa naman si PG. I remember one PBA player, Terry Saldana, also had a similar gruesome injury. He recovered at nakapaglaro naman ulit.

^ yung kay Livingston sa knee nabali. Etong kay Paul George talagang gitna ng shin, in between tuhod at paa. Pero parehas na grabe yan, wag nyo nang i- youtube! Horryfying talaga.

Yep. Which meant na instantly sira yung mga ligaments ni Livingston. Hopefully, bone and muscle damage lang yung kay PG. Grabe talaga freak accidents na ganyan.

Yung mga fracture na ganyan mukhang gulay. Pag nakikita ko, nanlalambot din ako parang gulay.

Yup yun lang ang ok sa injury ni PG as long as walang ligaments na nabali. As long as the bone heals properly he'll be able to go back to form. Pag acl/mcl kasi hindi 100% nagheheal.

Jebus, even that shot of the X-Ray is hard to look at.

Kevin Ware was able to continue playing hoops after his similar injury ....... P. George is likely to play again - though we might not see those same high-flying act again. Good luck to him.

Hindi career-ending yung injury nya. Kevin Ware was cleared to play within a year yata after his injury. Tingin ko mas lala kay Ware as seen sa Xray kasi lumabas yung buto nya.

Eye-test, mukhang career ending coz of how gruesome it looked but it isnt as bad as knee injuries. I bet players like Tmac, Grant Hill and Brandon Roy would rather fracture their leg than suffer injuries to their knees.

for me lumabas man buto nya o hindi, just the same thing . bones regenerate and it will be back to normal, he just need to build his muscles back. kung di man sya makapaglaro with the same intensity, it will all be psychological.
i had the same kind of injury 2 yrs ago, had a complete fracture of my humerus-left arm. my ortho-surgeon placed a metal internally to connect them(to have a proper healing) then im now back to normal. it is weaker because im not athletic nor do i go to gym, which i should do.

*but i can carry/lift things(beds,cabinet), pag mejo bumigat na may nginig na.

^ i agree, more of mental thing na lang yun pag bumalik siya with lesser intensity. Bones fully recover naman lalo pag nilagyan ng bakal, perfect healing yan.

Ako naman fracture hand. 1 month naka cast and sobrang weak ng kamay ko after coz of muscle atrophy. Medjo malakas na ngayon pero andun pa din sa isip ko na todo alalay.

agree... makakabalik yan better..

i also had a compound fracture on my left arm 27 years ago... now my arm feels normal... mukhang mas malakas pa nga sya sa rightt ko... im ambidextrous when i play basketball sa painted area.

as for my torn left acl... malaki talaga hinina.

so graphic as the injury might be, pg will be back

The game was stopped na..di na tinuloy..and yep every time I see injuries like those of Kevin Ware and PG, lagi ko iniisip di na ako tatalon masyisado sa b.ball hahaha

actually, i didnt think too much of my broken bone. ang natakot ako, i had wrist drop meaning i couldnt move my hand kasi daw tinamaan ng buto ko yung Radial nerve which slightly damaged it. sabi ng doc, there are times na mabilis,matagal or never na babalik ang movement ng kamay. dun ako natakot. but thank God after taking meds, i was able to move my hand 2weeks after operation.

As usual Larry Bird is old-school - toughed it out and didn't blame the logistics, saying that injuries can happen anytime, anywhere.

Did a bit of reading - the NBA has a minimum required distance of 4' between baseline and the stanchion.

The UNLV court where PG24 got injured, was an inch short at 3'11" ...... that 1-inch difference might not have been enough to save PG24 from the injury.

Everyone is hoping that George makes a full recovery, the soonest.

The Team USA scrimmages remind of how we select the players for the national team during MICAA days. Meron 3 teams, white, red and blue yata from where the final 12 players would be selected. Aliw na aliw ako noon kay Yoyong Martirez wala kasing makahabol pag tinakbo na niya yung bola.
