kaya pala hindi ginalingan ni Jabari para hindi sya kunin ng Cavs. alam niya siguro na mattrade din sya.

It's official, Love is a Cav now. Sana di madisheartened si Wiggins. Lebron basically said he doesnt want to team up with him. Hopefully he lights up the Cavs each time he faces them. Hehe
china challenge lang sya ni james siguro para ipakita potential nya sa ibang team. hehehe...

^ how I wish that was true. More like walang tiwala kasi same position sila at gusto agad ni James ng immediate help. He doesn't care about Wiggins. hehe

Wiggins actually wanted to be traded to the Wolves. He wants to be the man daw instead of just being a piece.  So the trade definitely hasn't eroded his confidence

hope that's true. :)

it's easy for him to say he wanted to be traded but we all know this was Lebron's and Love's plan and Wiggins just happened to be the piece they needed to make things happen so wala talaga siyang say. But if it's true na gusto nya talaga matrade, then good. Would love to see him and Lavine doing spectacular plays.

Yup Wiggins said so himself to his Kansas coach.  It was written in several articles. Once the trade rumors started, his coach got concerned as it might have affected Wiggins.  But surprisingly, he countered he was looking forward to it.  Wiggins thought it would be best for his career if he was the main focus of the team.

Sour grapes from the Wolves owner, but also some valid points lol:
Quote
"I think where maybe he got away with some stuff not playing defense on our team, I'm not sure that's how it's going to work in Cleveland," Taylor said on ESPN Radio 1500 AM in the Twin Cities on Tuesday. "I would guess they're going to ask him to play more defense, and he's foul-prone.

I question Kevin if this is going to be the best deal for him, because I think he's going to be the third player on the team," Taylor added. "I don't think he's going to get a lot of credit if they do really well. I think he'll get blame if they don't do well. He's around a couple guys that are awful good."

Taylor also questioned the durability of Love, who has twice suffered a broken hand, which caused him to miss most of the 2012-13 season.

"The only thing I still have a question mark about is health," Taylor said. "I had that concern then [when they negotiated his previous contract], and I still have that concern. I think Cleveland should have that concern, too."

and wow
Quote
"Rivers' new deal will pay him in excess of $10 million annually, according to multiple sources."

that's Phil Jackson type of money for a coach. Overpaid considering he doesn't even have anything close to PJ's accomplishments.

That salary is for both being the organjzation's president and coach.  Yun kay PJ yata coach lang. Stan Van Gundy of the Pistons also has the same role/s. And he is being paid $7 million annually. So tama lang siguro yun kay Rivers since he won a title.

I'd rather see championships than stability. Nung kay Phil Jackson, the Lakers was always in turmoil due to the feud between Shaq and Kobe but the results were still great most of the time. Sa Clippers, so far wala pang napapatunayan si Doc e. He had 1 championship with Boston and that's it.

But I guess if di lang coach yung trabaho nya, pwedeng justified. Pero if full time coach lang, overpaid.

Yes 2 roles yun sweldo niya plus unofficial recruiter.  FAs seem to be attracted and want to play for Doc.

After the Heat, many teams are now after the CAVS to humiliate them together with LBJ.
But of course many will definitely cheer for LBJ now that he's back home to redeem himself and lead the CAVS to the promise land.

Very nice stats.  It can be an indication that Love does get away with not playing defense.

On the list, I'm impressed with DeAndre Jordan and Serge Ibaka.  They will swat at every opportunity they get, but they're able to keep their fouls relatively low.  Up in the air kasi sila humabol nang bola, after ball release na.

Haha

I guess he is insinuating na pag pinaglaro mo ng defense si Love eh magiging foul prone kasi di talaga magaling sa defense?

full time coach, definitely overpaid.  1 championship and 1 finals loss does not justify 8 figure pay.  But as an organization leader, sakto lang yan.

I think it's a major PR stunt as well. The way doc was very supportive in the ouster of former owner. The last thing the Clippers need right now is a distraction on contract negotiations on their coach/GM. And the salary for a coach is not included in the Salary cap naman diba?

Overspending on players, coaches, etc is a natural occurence when new ownership comes in, for most NBA teams ....... Ballmer just won himself a high-profile team - he's on a high, swerte at nasama si Rivers during this happy time.

I'd have to agree that Doc Rivers' new contract is on the bloated side ....... but that's the norm in the NBA nowadays.

If noobish coaches like Fisher, Kerr & Kidd can get substantial contracts, those with extensive resumes will demand premium as well, moreso if you have dual roles within the team e.g. Rivers, SVG, Flip, etc.

Being a billionaire, Ballmer has all the right to have that sudden burst of excitement by over spending to greet everybody and make everybody in his organization happy showing he's the new Boss.

Ngayon na meron nang knee injury si Free Agent Andray Blatche, meron pa kaya kukuha sa kanya?  Kung kunin siya, will that make him the first Filipino in the NBA?  :)

Which is best for Westbrook.  Dapat may feeder kay Westbrook.  Dapat din may magaling na PG who decides whether to pass to KD or Brick depending on the situation.

Not sure about a feeder for Westbrook. He might not be that good off the ball. Baka mas comfortable siya with the ball in his hand
