Kobe is passing and the lakers are winning. Nagsawa na muna tumira. 13 assists so far for him.

haha.
another triple-double for kobe. 12-13-10. pts-ast-TO.

may pag-asa pa ba ang detroit? 3-15 for a very talented team.

And his 12 point flurry in the 3rd Quarter actually helped the Lakers build a comfortable lead.  Nice one from the Black Mamba.

Could today be the day the Sixers get their 1st win? I hope not! haha

Keep the losing streak going. haha

1 more loss to tie the record for worst start.

Oo nga... Parang masyado siyang nanggigil kay Beal and gustong pasikatan... Ayan, tuloy, pumalpak. :p

Ok lang... Go Lakers pa rin!

Btw, haven't really been following the standings... Was surprised how Detroit and the Knicks had even worse records than the Lakers.

a true testament to how much the Eastern teams suck. Sana mahabol pa ng Lakers sa papangitan ng record yung dalawang team na yan.

To assure themselves of the 5th pick, Lakers need to have the 2nd worst record.  I don't think LA is that bad.  Different story if it's the West though.

Monta Ellis' game-winner against the Bucks. Parang traveling dapat ???

* * * * *

Congrats to the Sixers! They play OKC next with KD and RW back in action, so buti na lang nanalo na sila to avoid having the worst start in NBA history. :)

Mukha nga...  Pero I'm sure the much showcased Replay Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, would've given the refs everything they need to validate.  The steps should begin count when both hands hold the ball?  Yung first step yata is when the ball was on the upward path of the last dribble.

Traveling din tingin ko.  Nag one step pa kasi siya and lifted his pivot foot when he spun.  But the way I understand it, you can protest a wrong call.  But you can't a missed call.

Worst game I've ever watched. And it's not even close

sayang di ko napanood  ;D  Congrats Sixers!

Oh, and apparently a very shorthanded Rockets team beat the Grizzlies. The Rockets are a very good defensive team this year (1st in OPP 3p%, 2nd in OPP FG%, 2nd in defensive efficiency). Ariza's a really good fit.

Definitely traveling yung kay Ellis. Nasa harapan pa naman yung ref kaso nakatingin lang sya sa bola di nya nakita yung steps ni Ellis.

Edit:
It looks like it's not traveling at all.

Looks like a travel from the first camera angle in this clip. He shuffled his feet before spinning the other way. Tough luck for the Bucks.

When Ellis put both hands on the ball already, he spun using his right foot as his pivot.  Then planted his left foot.....lifted his right pivot and took the shot with the left foot.  Dapat the pivot should be the last one to leave the floor when taking the shot.

What Ellis did was similar to a "side" (I don't know the technical term, we just call it that growing up) step. Difference is that he did it while spinning, kaya mukhang travel.

That move is like a lay up where you can take two steps before releasing the ball. You can also do that move back to the basket post up play. Basta two steps lang, 3 steps travel na yun.

Pero hindi ba jumpshot yun kay Ellis? It was neither a lay up nor a post up play?

Yup side step.  Interpretation ko naman side step is done na parang lay up na rin.  Parang yun ke Ginobli.  Also yun side step ok basta in one direction lang siya going to the basket. Eto fronting the basket, spin then jumpshot. So it was neither a lay up or a side step going to the basket.  Ang mas pwede siguro yun jumpshot na you hop then land on both feet than shoot.  Eto kasi he shot it with one foot while lifting his pivot.

Ball Don't Lie

"The stunning finish was upheld after video review and the Mavs left town with a 107-105 win. It initially looked like Ellis might have traveled, but his movement was legal — it was just a very odd interpretation of the rules. A running fadeaway out of a spin move just isn't a shot many players will consider, let alone choose to take. It's an incredible play regardless of its impact on the game".

It is unconventional indeed pero after checking several time, good talaga yun for me. Two steps lang after picking the ball up..besides, NBA guys with huge HD feed could see it better and they let it go.

Interpretation: sayang yung buzzer beater. Mas maganda manalo ng buzzer beater kesa mag OT dahil sa violation.
