^ Conley's return changes the complexion of this series. I thought he was going to be out a couple of games more.

Puro tungkol sa PGs so far ang storylines in the second round: Conley's return spoiling Steph Curry's MVP night, the injuries to CP3 and John Wall, and Derrick Rose overcoming his injury and playing like his old self.

Lakers ako, kaso alam naman natin ang sitwasyon ngayon ng Lakers... LOL :))

From the teams remaining, ang ranking ko in terms of most-to-least want to win:

Warriors
Bulls
Wizards
Grizzlies
Hawks
Clippers
Cavs
Rockets

GSW-CHI finals for me would be awesome :D

pareho tayo sir. most ko is GSW and least ko is Houston but not only because of Dwight but also because of Harden. i really don't like these guys or the whole team for that matter. masyado ma-ere.

Hahaha! The Dwight Howard effect!  ;D

Haha obvious ba? Last year dami portland fans, tapos now there will be many dallas, clipper fans. There will be a lot of people routing for golden state this year because they are the best team. Kaya you cant win against them. Dati pa ba they are golden state fans? Let me guess, california eh ahihihi...

care to elaborate? What did they do or say that makes them maere. Dont tell me kasi sa beard.  If you are talking about the stirring the pot thing of harden. I also cannot stand curry because he is also a showboat. Draymond green for me is also cocky. i love klay, he looks humble. Dont tell me players cant pump their fist, celebrate etc. Meron ba mas mayabang sa clippers? They are one of the most hated. they complain on like every call sa referees. Diba golden state hate them so much? it is almost like a rivalry already. So if you like golden state dapat you hate the clippers big time. Or are you a new golden state fan?

Oh ito oh...tsk tsk tsk.

The Clippers vs. Warriors locker room fight was more like Stephen Curry stepping up to a ballboy
By Tom Ziller , May 4, 2014

The Clippers and Warriors a) hate each other and b) just finished a grueling seven-game series. You'd expect nerves to be frayed, especially on Golden State's losing side. So it wasn't a total surprise to hear that the teams engaged in a hallway altercation after Game 7.

Wait, let's throw some scare quotes in there. The "teams" engaged in a "hallway altercation" after Game 7. From Marc Spears:

After the game ended, the Warriors thought they heard a Clippers assistant coach yell, "It's a little quiet in there," several times outside their locker room, multiple sources said. Warriors guards Stephen Curry and Steve Blake were the first to dart from the locker room and confronted some Clippers ball boys in the hallway between both locker rooms, a source said.

Emphasis mine. What's more hilarious: that ballboys were taunting the Warriors, or that Curry and Steve Blake rushed out to confront who they thought was an assistant coach?

There's more. From Sam Amick:

While all the details of the situation were not immediately clear, it's believed that Warriors big man Marreese Speights was among the aggressors for the Warriors while point guard Chris Paul was allegedly the irritant for the Clippers -- though maybe even in silence. As was described by the witnesses, Paul came along as the incident appeared to be dying down and his mere presence picked things up again.

Emphasis still mine. An altercation gets elevated because Chris Paul walks by?! What kind of party is this? I mean, it's not exactly Kendrick Perkins and Zach Randolph throwing down.

All reports indicate that STAPLES Center security and the LAPD eventually intervened after Speights and Glen Davis yelled at each other and Paul stood there and Curry side-eyed ballboys. After a season of snarling, the chapel controversy and a tough-as-casino-buffet-steak seven-game series ... this is how all that tension is resolved? I'm glad the NBA has gotten rid of violence, but this is just absurd. Settle it with a game of cribbage next time.

Oh ito isa pa, sino ba mayabang?

Golden State Warriors Pick a Fight with LA Clippers, Win It

The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers extended their heated rivalry on Wednesday, exchanging Christmas spirit, a few elbows and some ejections to cap off a day of holiday action.

Golden State struck the final blow, though, winning 105-103 as Stephen Curry scored 10 points to Chris Paul's eight in the fourth quarter.

The contest was close down the stretch, and it could have turned out very differently if Paul had been able to draw a whistle on any of his three forays into the lane during the final two minutes. He hit the deck especially hard with one second remaining, but replay showed that Klay Thompson swatted the ball cleanly from behind as Kent Bazemore stepped in to take what should have been a clear offensive foul.

There was no whistle, though, and the Clips had to heave up a desperation triple with no timeouts remaining. Jamal Crawford's fall-away three came up short.

Speaking of coming up short, both the Warriors and Clippers had to finish the game short-handed because of a series of altercations that resulted in Draymond Green and Blake Griffin being ejected in the second half.

At the end of the third period, Green flung an elbow that may not have actually connected with Griffin's chin, but it was certainly obvious enough to warrant banishment to the locker room. Oddly, Griffin also received a technical on the play.

That curious T came back to haunt the Clippers just a few minutes later, as Andrew Bogut wisely (or deviously, depending on your perspective) tied Griffin up under the basket. The officials already sensed the game starting to slip out of their control, so double technicals were issued quickly to both Griffin and Bogut.

As a result, Griffin joined Green in the "Early Exit" club.

Per Dan Woike of the Orange County Register, Griffin wasn't pleased with the Warriors' "tactics" after the game:

Bad blood is nothing new for these teams. Though neither club is especially physical by nature, Green, Bogut, Paul and Matt Barnes are always ready to mix things up. Most recent meetings have involved at least a few extracurriculars.

In fact, CP3 and Barnes were ready to keep fighting after the final buzzer sounded.

When Crawford's potential game-winner fell short, Bogut corralled the loose ball. As he often does, Paul went to snatch the rock away, almost certainly hoping to instigate another tussle. Somehow, Barnes appeared instantly, shoving Bogut in the back and inciting yet another scrum in front of the Warriors bench.

After the game, Barnes offered up his typical tough-guy bluster, via Woike
:Bogut was talkin trash all game. He can talk it on the court; he knows better than to talk it off the court" - Matt Barnes

Though they were probably guilty of instigating an equal share of physicality, the Warriors took a slightly more diplomatic tone in their postgame comments.

Per the Dubs' official Twitter feed,
Bogut said:"They're a physical team in the middle. Sometimes that's how it gets. Neither of us backed down and that's how it should be." @andrewbogut

And you know what? He's right. These teams are going to be jostling for playoff position and the Pacific Division crown all season long. They should be fighting tooth and nail when they square off. Some of the chippiness could probably go by the wayside, but it'd be silly to expect the Dubs and Clips to bring anything less than maximum effort.

The only shame is that the physicality and poor officiating obscured some brilliant play by Paul, who led all scorers with 26 points and played phenomenal defense on Curry until the Warriors point guard finally shook loose in the final period. Still, Steph needed 17 shots to get his 15 points.

After the game, Warriors coach Mark Jackson downplayed the rivalry angle, per Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com:
Mark Jackson: "We like them. Merry Christmas." Said still believes Clips-GSW not a rivalry because "neither one of us have done anything."

Nice try, coach. We all saw what happened. These two teams hate each other, and the Clips are going to be somewhat justified in feeling they got a raw deal in this one. That'll only intensify the animosity.

For the Warriors, winning a tight game that the officials allowed to get out of control was a sign of mild growth. They've still got a long way to go, and some key weaknesses reared their ugly heads throughout the game.

Jackson's rotations continue to make little sense, Harrison Barnes proved once again that he's miscast as a shot-creator and key turnovers nearly sank the Dubs. But for all that, Golden State notched a win and gained an even stronger mental edge on the Clippers.

Remember, the Warriors have gone 4-2 against L.A. since the beginning of last season.

And if Bazemore's postgame exuberance is any indication, Golden State is pretty happy with the result it earned.

Ultimately, the Dubs came ready to fight—both literally and figuratively—against the Clippers. They walked away with the satisfaction of a win and the knowledge that they could get under L.A.'s skin.

Both of those things will be valuable as these teams continue to wrestle for California supremacy.

Relax sir ang puso hehe. I'm not a hard core warriors fan and yeah I'm just a fan mostly because of klay and Steph.

Regarding why I don't like Houston, it's because of their "The Real King James" antics and them campaigning for Harden to be MVP. And for whatever reason I just don't like Harden. It's just one of those things. Also as a Lakers fan, The Diva doesn't help.

Don't worry about the Clips as I don't like them as well but not as much as I don't like Houston. Lol. I like CP3 but I don't like Blake.

I also don't like Harden, but maybe it's just because I admire Steph a lot, wanted him to win MVP and Harden was his closest competitor... so subconsciously, napasok sa utak ko na "kalaban" siya :P He doesn't really seem like someone I'd really dislike otherwise.

But Howard is someone I definitely don't like (lol, laker fan issues), and to a lesser degree, I also don't like Kevin McHale.

Tsaka yung pinakita nila last game... totally giving up on the game being down 10 points with more than a minute left... such a poor show of heart.

i tried liking Harden pero wala eh di ko talaga trip. ewan ko ba. parang tumatak sa utak ko na trying hard si harden. trying hard na ma-consider na magaling (although magaling naman talaga), trying hard na maging superstar, etc. it's just what i think. labo eh hahaha. ;D

eto nangyayari pag wala sa playoffs ang primary teams sa east and west. (Heat and Lakers, respectively) :-[

Ang sabi, for the first time in 17 years, the West will not be represented by either the Lakers, Mavs, Spurs or Thunder in the NBA Finals. I love it :) I think it's a refreshing change of pace.

ako naman the reason why i dont like harden is the way he plays, kada drive nya masagi mo lang ng konti tatalsik na agad. lol

for dwight, i never liked him kahit nung nasa orlando pa sya, i tried to like him when he joined the lakers pero hindi pa rin. hehe

thats why im rooting for the clips to win. pero si cp3 lang gusto ko dun sa team na yun.

What's the big deal with being a new fan? Teams evolve. Today's Bulls aren't same as the 90s Bulls, the Lakers and Celtics are not what they were in the 80s, my Spurs won't be the same after Tim/Pop/RC.

I guess im a Spurs fan... Ive been supporting the SAS since Tim Duncan got drafted :D hehehe

Of course, there was David Robinson too, then Avery Johnson, sean elliot, bruce bowen, then Manu Ginobili, then Parker, heck there was even a Micheal Finley, Robert Horry, Steve Kerr, a forgettable Richard Jefferson, a bench warming Tracy Mcgrady (who I saw score 13 points in 29 secs to steal a playoff game - ruined my day back then)... And Now we have this version with Kawhi..

I think all those teams were good, but I also liked other teams, albeit on a shorter time frame... I like the Clippers since 2012 (Playoff eliminated by the spurs 4-0 :D ), I also like Rose's Bulls.... Does that make me a bandwagoner? hehehe... probably not :)

The urban dicationary defines a Bandwagon Fan as Anyone who claims they are a "fan" of a particular sports team, even though they had no prior support for/interest in the team until that team started winning. These types of fans only show playoff interest, have probably never watched a regular season game, don't own any type of team merchandise, nor would they buy any.

Cheers :)

There is nothing wrong being a new fan of a new team. I just find it amusing that some always root for the opposing team the rockets play. Nothing wrong with that. It is the dwight effect talaga. Na carry over lang yun dislike kay harden. To tell you the truth i also hated some of the tweets by the rockets. But to carry a team with so many injuries is something else. I guess it is that hunger that we never tasted an mvp or championship since 1995.

I like the texas teams, except parsons in Dallas. The reason is, he said he prefers dallas because the city of houston is dirtier. Low class talaga.

I've been to dallas, same lang sa houston.
