The big thing about Ateneo's offense. Kiefer. The problem with the Ateneo offense. Kiefer.

Therein lies the rub.

With NU's strength of half-court defense double teaming kiefer and guarding the passing lanes well will negate Ateneo's ability to score. If ateneo plays to NU's tempo which is slowing the game down to half court sets then they'll be doomed to follow their 4 losses in this past 2 seasons.

Ateneo's offense lies in the running and open court set. They're a quick team, with kiefer being a mismatch when defenses are not set. With Chris Newsome as well. They create opportunities in the defensive lapses during transistions.

Unless Coach Bo creates more plays for the big men and for Von pessumal, then it will be a uphill struggle for the Blue and White.

NU wins, 78-74. Knock-out game next Wednesday. Odds are against NU: the 4th seed has beaten the 1st seed in the history of the UAAP Final Four only once out of 18 times (sabi ng Wikipedia

). But as the TV panel said, this is not a typical 1st seed-4th seed match-up because ADMU has not yet beaten NU this season.

We haven't beaten NU since last season. 5 straight wins by NU since last season.

Nice game!! Damn you Sky ngayon lang nabalik cable and internet. Grrrr...

Now it's down to a winner take all. Although Ateneo hasn't beaten NU since last season, I'll put my money on ADMU. My reason? Law of averages. Another reason? I'd say Kiefer will have a big game come Wednesday.

Kiefer was 9/35 (26%) FG and 4/9 from the free throw line. He needs to be more efficient next week.

Ateneo showed again that they can rally from big deficits. The key, however, is to have a more urgent start, take it strong to the basket, and not settle for fadeaways and pull-up jumpers. Getting more boards (NU had 48, Ateneo 33) will also help.

Watching the replay... 5 assist in 2quarters.. Poor passing of admu...I haven't seen Elorde play for the past years.. But the way I see him play seems he plays a little dirty... Ravena keeps on shooting and the ball doesnt shoot saket sa mata...

Friend of mine who watched live said Ravena was like a Lebron James. Seeing the stats, he's more like a Kobe to me

Javelona played very good defense on Ravena in all their match ups this season so I wont be surprised if NU sweeps Ateneo and barged eventually into the Finals.

Sa dami ng tira ilan lang nashoot.,im not rootin for NU nor a hater of admu,,i just cant believe ravena ravena having that kind or percentages every game i see him play...talo pa ung kabayo na may tapahoho...
Si thirdie limited time pero ayos ung pinakita..sana magstep up ung iba pa nilanh players pra ung offense e di lang kay ravena..want to ser admu without ravena in 1 game

^^ I think Eric Altamirano is really just a good coach. He is getting his boys to execute the things he wants to be done.

Tapos pansin ko sa Ateneo, pag napasa na kay Newsome or Ravena yung bola, the offense stops. haha
