my 51H5000 replacement was delivered yesterday and sadly yung replacement meron pa ring dead pixel (ngayon nasa bandang gilid na unlike sa first unit na bandang gitna)

Parang I have come to accept that this is part of the luck of the draw and margin of error in the production of TVs. Since di naman noticeable when watching regular content (except pag solid white image and if you look closely) in nearest viewing distance, parang ayoko na papalitan at baka yung kapalit ay mas malala pa ang problema. Abala pa sa trabaho kasi i need to take a leave to receive the delivery.

in short, wala kang kasiguraduhan na yung ipapalit will be better plus the factor of your TV model having far lower stocks.

Yun na nga ang problema , what if there is no more new available unit? Ito yung dilemma ko , pipili na lang ba ako ng led or i'll just stick with the faint horizontal line. i'll throw the question at you sir if you where in my shoes ano pipiliin mo?i'm not willing to spend 300k for a tv that can rival the pq of the samsung f8500.

At that price range 137k all LED TVs any brands are all mediocre for me. Why not try a 60inch. plasma  F5500 it's very competent model 2nd to F8500 yun nalang kunin ko sir. BTW i think a 64 inch F5500 is not locally available.

sir thank you sa suggestion but yung 60f5500 meron daw brightness pops , hindi ko kaya pagtyagaan yung issue na yun , i had a 51 inch D series before sinoli ko talaga sa samsung buti pinalitan ng e550 or else ibebenta ko talaga yun.

Horizontal line lang ang problema , nakakadistract kasi pag mag bright and light screens.

but you cud tsk it out personally, it has good reviews coming from professionals A/V websites such as AVForums, CNET etc. I for one witness it in our local A/V stores and it's PQ is respectable better than any LED tvs out there.

All plasma TVs dim very bright scenes to reduce power current and heat buildup – this is called Automatic Brightness Limiting (ABL) – and the “brightness pops” on previous Samsung plasmas appeared to be the result of Samsung’s ABL programming reacting too quickly.

We had previously produced a test sequence (which we supplied to Samsung) which demonstrated this on the F8500, and the same clip plays back without any “pops” on the new PN64H5000 – so, congratulations to Samsung for going to these lengths."

Tama yata si sir Quitacet.

Brightness pops ended with the D series plasma.  Wala pa akong nabalitaan na brightness pops sa E, F and H (no such thing as a G series sa Sammy plasma), na similar sa D series na walang workaround at walang fix.  The D series was issued a firmware fix, but users say it either didn't work, or only worked temporarily.

Ang alam ko lang na brightness pops ngayon ay minor na lang na merong workaround.  Even my 51F8500 has it --- on 3D mode, 24p source, using Cinema Smooth.

Try it on your 64F8500:  The first scenes of Prometheus 3D, using a 60p frame rate  --- obvious brightness pops.  Set 24p frame rate on the player, and Cinema Smooth Setting on the TV, the pops go away.  Or disable Cinema Smooth on the TV, the pops go away.

Note: there's a bug on all F8500 TVs.  Disabling Cinema Smooth automatically enables Motion Judder Canceller (MJC), even if it is off.  To correctly disable MJC, you must turn MJC off even if it's already off.

Sir yung model 60f5500 po yung sinasabi ko na may brightness pops hinde yung 64h5000. Anyway, futile naman if meron or wala ,yung replacement ng 64f8500 according sa service center  samsung declined my request for replacement instead they want me to just repair the  tv . Imagine after ika 8th day dun ko nadiscover na may faint horizontal line .i've been a samsung loyal customer since the D series plasma pero nawalan ako ng gana now, wala pa nga 1 month yung tv. Sabi ng nag process ng request ko magsesend ulit siya ng request for replacement if they deny it i'm going to complain  sa dti.

Sayang i'm a walking advertiser ng samsung products , i tell all my relatives and friends to buy samsung products because they are good in customer service and because of this my cousin bought their inverter ref and aircon plus all galaxy note cp's from now on i will tell them not to buy samsung products because if your product is defective they will not replace it.

kung ang samsung is still manufacturing F8500s wala sanang problema sa replacement.

Yun na nga sir ang sinasabi ko.

E, F and H walang brightness pops.  Kasama na ang 60F5500 sa walang brightness pops. 

Anyway, ayaw naman pala nila mag replace.  Pero dapat talaga replace or refund, kasi duda ako kung kaya nilang i-repair yan.

Para kasi may nabasa ako na may brightness pops yung 60f5500 sa google pero hindi ko makita yung link now.anyway kung walang brightness pops yung E,F,H, series edi nice  Pero wala naman  kasi use kasi ayaw naman mag replace . Ilalaban ko talaga i replace kundi irerefund ko na lang , buti pa ang CS ng samsung two years ago madali kausap ngayon nakaka frustrate.

may shop sa shang rila na meron pa na 64f8500 authorized dealer nila yun, if gusto nila talaga ako bigyan ng bago na unit they can easily do it. Ang problem ayaw nila . . Nung ika 8th day ko lang napansin ang horizontal line at nireport ko kagad ,sana man lang konting consideration na palitan nila yung unit ng bago. I spent my hard earned money for this and i think i deserve a tv that is almost perfect considering wala nman talaga perfect na tv. Pero yung line during light scenes or sky scenes  can render watching the tv annoying , hinde ako perfectionist sa tv okay lang sa akin khit my buzzing sound , yung internet connection ng smart tv na ito always drops considering yung 51e550 does not , may pink blush on white screen but what i cannot really accept is the horizontal line. Nakakatawa nga ng sinabi ko sa nag process ng request ko bakit hindi ayos ang quality control nyo ang sabi ba naman sa akin is " isolated case daw yung sa akin" hindi ako makatiis so sinabi ko na nag google ako ng defect at marami pala ang may ganito na screen at yung iba wala horizontal line, bigla hindi nakakibo yung nag process ng request.pag hindi mo alam yung issue they make a fool out of you.

Ang problema kasi sa repair is what if palpak ang ang pagkagawa? Instead na maayos mas malala? If replacement makikita ko kagad kung may defect or wala and i can easily reject or accept the unit. Hindi naman sa paranoid ako baka makahoy pa yung matitino na mga parts since wala naman ako idea kung ano ang tatanggalin at ikakabit okay sana sir if 1 year na sa akin yung tv atleast nagamit ko naman na at hindi na masyado masakit kung may makahoy.  Ang dami ko na nabasa sa mga service center na hindi masyado maganda ang outcome kaya i always opt to choose replacemnt. Sabi nga ni sir barrister duda din ako kung kaya nila gawin yun. Gusto ko lang sabihin na technically 8 days ko  pa lang nagagamit yung tv mula ng ireport ko sa kanila ang problem.

Kung palpak repair, edi ulit ng ulit until eventually Samsung agrees to refund your entire money.   That seems to be your only choice now dahil hindi ka mapakali sa nakikita mo sa screen ng 8500 mo.

Just make sure na linawin mo responsibilities ng service center maski sa pinaka maliit na gasgas.  Hindi excuse na puedeng magasgasan during repair works because grabe ang care sa handling sa mga proper service facilities.

they can't afford to give you a new unit sir kasi alam mo na, yung remaining few stocks must be sold in a brand new price and knowingly this will be their last stocks of F8500. if i were you i would take the advice from sir clondalkin. i understand you just can't accept that your primary display at home is an LCD screen even for me can't go back to LCD TV for premium viewing ng mga blurays natin.

i was offered by avant a more expensive LED TV to replace my H5000 (with no additional cost) but i did not accept their offer. I won't be going back to gray blacks and irritating motion blurs.

Cash and carry ansons gave me a DISPLAY UNIT, i was not informed of this i specifically asked for a brand new tv, i told the one who  texted me , why would i pay 137k for a display unit ? I did not check the MRT before purchase so i was deceived by ansons.

Kaya pala ayaw i replace at nalaman ko kay samsung kung bakit,yun naman pala display unit ang binenta sa akin kung wala ako nakita na faint horizontal line , i will never know na display unit ang nabigay sa akin. Ang saya naman nila binentahan ako ng presyong brandnew pero display unit naman pala.

I can't check the mtr because the supplied remote yung advance one hindi ma access yun. I asked ansons cash and carry if it is  brandnew sabi nung kausap ko brand new so binili ko. I think no one will release a large amount of money para sa display unit unless heavily discounted.ansons did not inform me that the unit i purchased is a display unit, ang gusto ng samsung nung una repair lang but ayaw ko at gusto ko replacementr kaya sinabi nila sa akin na ayaw nila palitan because this is a display unit .good thing nung tumawag sila hindi ko nasagot so they sent a txt to me claiming that this is a display unit atleast meron ako evidence that ansons sold me a display unit without my knowledge.
