Sir sardaukar is correct.
For 2014, Samsung released the H plasma series 4 (720p) and series 5 (1080p); but retained 2013's F plasma series 8 (highest-end 1080p).
Therefore, what they have for 2014's series 8 plasma is still the F8500 from 2013. There is no such thing as an "H8500" plasma.
Abenson was referring to the 51H5000, probably an honest mistake on the sales clerk's part.
The 51H5000 should be good. I used to have an E550 (2012 series 5, with Smart & 3D), and I was already happy with the performance, considering that the newer F5000 and H5000 reportedly have better picture quality.
If you really want an F8500, try Anson's Makati. P72,199 cash, with free Samsung Blu-ray 3D HT-in-a-box.
==================================
Question ko po, is this a better version of the 51F8500 model?
No, it is not.
H5000 is series "5" (1080p), model "000" (no smart, no 3D).
F8500 is series "8" (highest-end 1080p), model "500" (with Smart and 3D).
Ano po difference ng 2 tv eto?
Major difference is that the F8500 has a very high-end plasma panel, with very large subpixels that made it the brightest plasma TV in the world, while still having the darkest black levels of any Samsung plasma ever made. The H5000 has a regular 1080p panel, but it's still very good.
Other differences are minor, such as an external anti-reflective filter; 3D; full Smart functions with camera, touchpad remote and quad-core processor for the F8500.
Is this a good deal for P 39k ? Tnx.
Yes, the lower-end H5000 is a good deal for P39K plus free LED TV. They say it's only P32K without the free TV.
