No, it does not have. It is still rca and is not the ntc approved dtt device.

Abs cbn tvplus will be officially launched next week. And yes, it does not have an hdmi and it is still the same box. Selling for P2,500 srp.

how did you update your fw via OTA? is it automatic?

yes, once you tune in to abs program it will initiate a FW upgrade and just follow the steps.
for now, OTA may have been put on hold pending the FW bug fix.

Hmmm. my daughter and my sister are the ones who always watch using the BB and they did not tell me anything about any unusual prompts on the screen when OTA initializes.

Is there a way to look at the fw date/version to verify?

ABS-CBN TVplus may be available commercially starting February 11, but we advice everyone to take caution in buying such devices as it is still not compliant to the ISDB-T Philippine standards.

Please take note that the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has yet to release a Memorandum Circular for Standards and Specifications of ISDB-T recievers, which is seperate from the Implementing Rules & Regulations (IRR) of DTT Broadcasts.

Agree...and there was also a rumor that SkyTV+ is now currently having a next product in line na compliant na sa NTC ruling and with HDMI output na. So in my own opinion they were just selling those old stocks..

As well in the next few weeks or so..other well known brands (Sharp,Pioneer etc.) are about to release as well the NTC compliant Set-Top boxes.

baka tumaas pa nga lalo yan pag NTC compliant na unit kasi meron add on yun feature na wala sa ibang isdb-t product.
maging HDMI ang vid out mas lalo na tataas.

lagi po bumababa prices pag technology... mahal palagi pag bago.. meron freak price yung 800php na offer noon ng abs cbn...

At 2.5k, worth it pa rin for the benefits you get out of it at the end of the day IMO.
Great option for folks na di abot ng cable tv services at mahina reception sa bahay.
Ok rin ito para sa mga nag d-dorm.

lagi po ako nasa canton fair.. purchaser ako ng hardware items... but may display din ng china tv.. pwede din magpagawa ng sariling brand
lagi ako ask.. sakaling may mapagkakitaan... naalala ko digital tuners built in sa tv you just add 5usd... so... yung board niyan mismo 5usd lang... + case + powersupply siguro... possible din nga sabi niyo na dvd players/bluray players built in na yan....

naalala ko meron panahon uso saatin sa pinoy dvd media player.. that was around 4 years ago yata.. nag inquire ako sakanila... most of their media players may built in digital tuners.. cost was around 40 to 60usd

yes possible po yan ma integrate sa mga existing appliance.
the problem is... etong isdb-t standard na na approve sa atin ay tinatawag nila na isdb-tph na iba sa mga standard na currently in use sa ibang bansa.

so ibig sabihin, kahit isdb-t device siya walang guarantee na mag work yan dito dahil iba and encoding at decoding nila.

pag dumating ang competition ni tv+ dun lang natin makita ang movement ng pricing.
sa ngayon stick muna tayo sa SRP 2,500

good buy na yung mga nakakuha dati ng P1,500
enjoy muna while it is still working.

Funny thing i experienced with my digibox.

The signal got stronger and the reception improved when I put the antenna indside the house than when it was outside.
