selecting 55" is not easy, at least for me
« on: Nov 06, 2014 at 12:36 AM »
Hey guys I hope you can shed some light and a little help.

I need to change our TV in our sala, nakababad kasi lagi and currently we are using 42" Pana Plasma. We need to upgrade as well to a bigger size.

55" ang choice because of the the wall size constraints. We are looking to get LED to mitigate the power consumption cost, our tv sa sala probably running for a minimum of 14 hours a day.

Another constraint is the budget, only have 55 to 60k max.

here are the short list options that I had by reading through google and here in pdvd:

LG 55LB6700 = 56k
Samsung 55H6400 = 87k (over my budget)
Sony KDL55W800B = 86k (over my budget)
Devant 55UHV130 = 55k
Devant 55LTV730 = 42k

any other choices?

If budget is concern I think LG is the best bet since over your budget Sony n Samsung but the 6700 had some good reviews I was also considering that model but can't find that anywhere. I wouldn't consider decant dami bad feedbacks. Just scroll on the topics here and you will see also the review on the 6700 is here. I think I'm already done with my search as for me I found a LA8600 at a decent price it's a 2013 model but the it's highest and flagship of LG. May I ask where you saw the 6700? Tia

Here are some choices from the market place that fits your budget:

My View EX200 http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,158175.210.html
Toshiba 55L2400 Full Hd LED 55" http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,156586.1380.html
Samsung 55inch 55ES6220 3D SMART LED TV http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,195181.0.html#top

I personally use the LG 55LM6200(2012 model) and very happy with it.

But the low price of tosh more than off sets the lower power consumption of the other brands.

Right, tsaka mas maganda talaga tunog Toshiba Regza compared sa LG and Samsung. Not sure lang sa Sony.

well kung ordinary cable viewing talgang blurry sya dahil sa masyado maliit pixels ng cable tv, pero kung mag cignal hd ka dun mo maaapreciete ang ganda ng tv kc meron 1 step upscaling ang samsung uhd   so from hd magiging fullhd resolution kaya mas maganda compared to ordinary full hd tv na hindi nag uupscale resolution sa cable

saka less hasle having 2 remote kc remote ng samsung kaya i control digibox and cignal box kaya 1 nlng gagamitin mo remote
